Example: his, her, it also includes mine,
yours, his, hers, and theirs but this are
possessive pronouns.

okay who can give me an example of

possessive nouns that shows ownership? my, its, your, their
okay thank you! very good.

but before that are you familiar with the

word apostrophe?
An apostrophe is a small punctuation
mark
( ’ ) placed after a noun to show that the
noun owns something. The apostrophe
will always be placed either before or
after an s at the end of the noun owner.
Possession is a state of having of owning
something.
Example: This is Abegail's book.
So what mark or letter we need to write
after the word abegail to show that she's
the owner of the book? apostrophe s ('s)
so apostrophe s is correct. thank you.

All nouns become possessive nouns with

the addition of an apostrophe (') and the
suffix the letter (s) at the end of the word.

Example: Boy's pens

Boys' pens
Are these two examples different? yes ma'am,
yes because of using apostrophe and the
letter s at the end of the nouns.
