Mangutana ta ug kail aba sila ni St Thomas Aquinas
Voice 1;
Vpice 2:
Voice 1:

(JOSHUA) First Reporter: St. Thomas Aquinas, Italian San Tommaso d’Aquino, also
called Aquinas, by name Doctor Angelicus (Latin: “Angelic Doctor”), (born 1224/25,
Roccasecca, near Aquino, Terra di Lavoro, Kingdom of Sicily [Italy]—died March 7,
1274, Fossanova, near Terracina, Latium, Papal States;
canonized July 18, 1323; feast day January 28, formerly March 7), Italian Dominican
theologian, the foremost medieval Scholastic. As a theologian, he was responsible in
his two masterpieces, the Summa theologiae and the Summa contra gentiles, for the
classical systematization of Latin theology, and, as a poet, he wrote some of the most
gravely beautiful eucharistic hymns in the church’s liturgy.

Vloggers: Ahhh mao diay na si St.Thomas Aquinas, unsa kaya iyang theology on
sacraments nuh.
(Lantaw sa Audience ; Sige guys ato nasab I ask ang uban about sa Theology ni St.
Thomas Aquinas on Sacraments.
Mag baklay………………(With all the adlib nalang)
Vloggers; Unsa diay Theology ni St. Thomas Aquinas on Sacraments?
(CATHERINE) Reporter 2: Aquinas also states, in the Summa Theologica: "a
sacrament is nothing else than a sanctification conferred on a man with some outward
sign. Wherefore, since by receiving orders a consecration is conferred on man by visible
signs, it is clear that Order is a sacrament.
Vloggers : Why do we need the sacraments according to St Thomas Aquinas? ( Pwede
ni I Bisaya na question)
The sacraments of the Church are gifts from Christ. There purpose is to make God's
people holy and to build up the Body of Christ, the Church. They are outward signs
of an unseen reality. But they are more than just signs.

While we believe that human life is infused with the sacramental goodness of God, the
Catholic Church has defined seven sacraments - instituted by and through the life of
Jesus Christ. It is through the experience of the sacramental ritual that we are infused
with God’s grace. The Sacraments nourish and strengthen us as they express and build
up our faith.

St.Thomas Aquinas said, that sacrament was an efficacious symbol. A sacrament

though is a special sign that brings about what it symbolizes and symbolizes it brings.
Sacraments are an efficacious sign of grace, originating in Christ and confided to his
Church, by which the divine life of grace is instilled or deepened within us.
According to St.Thomas Aquinas.
Vloggers: Whether the sacraments can be conferred by evil ministers? ? ( Pwede ni I
Bisaya na question)
(SISTER JESSA) Reporter : It seems that the sacraments cannot be conferred by evil
ministers. For the sacraments of the New Law are ordained for the purpose of cleansing
from sin and for the bestowal of grace. Now evil men, being themselves unclean, cannot
cleanse others from sin, according to Ecclus. 34:4: “Who [Vulg.: ‘What’] can be made
clean by the unclean?” Moreover, since they have not grace, it seems that they cannot
give grace, for “no one gives what he has not. ” It seems, therefore, that the sacraments
cannot be conferred by wicked men.
Vloggers: Whether God alone or the minister also, works inwardly unto the sacramental
effect?
(REXEL) Reporter 2: Ahmf according to St.Thomas Aquinas. Further, certain prayers
are offered up in conferring the sacraments. But the prayers of the righteous are more
acceptable to God than those of any other, according to Jn. 9:31: “If a man be a server
of God, and doth His will, him He heareth.” Therefore it seems that a man obtains a
greater sacramental effect if he receives it from a good minister. Consequently, the
interior effect is partly the work of the minister and not of God alone.
Vloggers : Whether the sacraments the cause of grace?
Objection 1: It seems that the sacraments are not the cause of grace. For it seems that
the same thing is not both sign and cause: since the nature of the sign appears to be
more in keeping with an effect. But a sacrament is a sign of grace. Therefore it is not its
cause.

Vloggers: Thank you very much guys,, karon lahi napud atong Topic., It’s about
the VALIDITY AND LEGITIMACY OF THE ADMINISTRATION OF THE
SACRAMENTS
Vloggers: Tara mag ask ta didtoa ( Kamo na bahala jud unsa pa inyong iingon)
Vloggers: Hi , good morning, Naa kay idea about Validity of sacraments?
(JOLINA)Reporter : Validity designates an action that produces the effects intended; an
action that does not produce the effects intended is considered "invalid". Liceity
designates an action that has been performed legitimately; an action that has not been
performed legitimately is considered "illicit". A sacrament is recognized by the church to
be genuine and true when certain minimum requirements are met.
Vloggers: So what are the Requirements of a valid administration of the sacraments?

(DIANNE)Reporter: These requirements concern proper form, matter, minister, and

intent. The form means the words of prayer that are used in the sacramental rite, and
the matter concerns the material or gesture constituting the outward and visible sign of
a sacrament. The matter in baptism is water; bread and wine are the matter in the
eucharist. The minister must be properly qualified and intend to do what the church
intends in celebrating the sacrament. The minister at the eucharist is the celebrant, who
must be a bishop or priest.

Time pa kadali lang….

Questions be like
Voice 1: What if kamatyunon na ang tao unya gusto siya magpa bunyag sa akoa
makabunyag bako na dili man ko pari?
Answer: Ouh uy, bisan pag dili ka katoliko pwede kayo ka makabunyag.
between life and death na pwede ra kaayo kay naa may excemptions ang simbahan.
Accepted mana siya.
Voice 1: Ahhhhhhh okie.x
(Naay nikalit ug duol)
Voice 3: Unsay inyong giistoryahan?
Voice 2: Ayy mahitungod sa lag isa kanang sakramento sa bunyag.
Voice 3: Ahhh, Ayyyyy kadali lang naa jud koy gikalibugan jud.,, Kung for example ba
kanang naa sa dalan nay magpabunyag, unya wala may Holy Water unsaon mana?
Answer: Awww pwede ra kaayo bisan unsa na tubig basta limpyo lang jud, accepted
nadawat.
Voices: Ahhhhhh okie.x salamat kaayo.
Vlogger: Okay mubaklay napud ta karon……adto napud ta didtos unahan kat ato
napud silang pangutan on.

Next Group of students ( Reporters)

Voice 1: Naa koy pangutana ba,,, ahhhh valid ba gihapon ang sacrament of
baptismkung muingon ka nga I baptize you In the name of the Father, Jesus and Mary?

In the name of the Father , and
of the Son, and of the Holy Spirit . Amen..

Voice 1: Ahhhh okay.x

The minimum form for a valid sacrament does not require the entire BCP liturgy. For
example, an emergency baptism may be administered according to the form, “I baptize
you in the Name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Spirit” (BCP, p. 313). In
the situation of an emergency baptism, any baptized person can be a qualified minister
of the sacrament.

This minister would need to baptize with water and intend to do what the church does
in baptism.
The form is the verbal statement that specifies the signification of the matter, such as,
(in the Western Church), "N., I baptize you in the name of the Father, and of the Son,
and of the Holy Spirit". Furthermore, if the minister positively excludes some essential
aspect of the sacrament, the sacrament is invalid.

Next Group of Students( Reporters)

A sacrament may be administered validly, but illicitly if a condition imposed by canon

law is not observed. Obvious cases are the administration of a sacrament by a priest
under a penalty of ex-communication or suspension, and an episcopal ordination
without a mandate from the Pope.
Vlogger: Ahhh ana diay na. Salamat kaayo. Ammmff next question . Pwede ba deacon
and mu celebrate sa Holy Mass, Valid bana,
(CLARINCE)Reporter: Dili kay, an apparent administration of a sacrament is invalid, if
the person acting as minister does not have the necessary power (as if a deacon were
to celebrate Mass). They are also invalid if the required "matter" or "form" is lacking. The
matter is the perceptible material object, such as water in baptism or wheat bread and
grape wine for the Eucharist, or the visible action. So mao na siya.

( Baklay nasad mo)
Sige adto sami.
Nag storya.x
Vloggers: Naa mi silingan gikasal atong niaging bulan unya, nag decide sila nga
Vlogger 2: Mao , hala unya?
Vlogger 2: Unya katoliko silang duha?
valid ba gihapon ilang kasal?
Vlogger 2; Nahhh, baw lang jud, wa jud koy alamag ana,. Mag baklay baklay nalang kay
basin naa tay masugatan , basin matubag nila imong pangutana. ‘
Church and Sacraments.
Vlogger 2: Tama jud ka,, Tarahhhhhhhh
Vlogger 1: Hi Good morning, pwede mangutana?
(JAYSON)Reporter:Yes good morning.
Vlogger 1: Pwede mag ask, kanus a ba mahimong legitimate ang administration of the
sacraments?
tamang proseso like Pre-cana seminar, nabunyagan na silang duha, naka pa kumpirma
Vlogger 2: Ahh so friend kato inyong silingan kay niagi man jud diay to sa tamang
proseso, so legitimate jud to ilang kasal.
Vlogger 1: Ahh legitimate siya, pero unsaon man nga napugos raman daw to ang lalaki
ato maong nagpakasal sila.
(YNA)Reporter : Ahhh,, legitimate to pero invalid ilang kasal, dili jud valid kay, bisan pag
nakasal na sila , apan kay nahibal an nga napugos ra sila. So ma in valid ilang kasal,
dili na I recognize sa simbahan in short, walay validity ilang kasal, walay kasal nahitabo,
kay isa sa mga important element sa kasal is ang consent sa candidate, unya free from
coercion and pressure. So maong invalid ang kasal sa inyong silingan bisan pag niagi
silage proseso.
Vlogger 1: Ahh so nakasabot najud ko, salamat kaayo.
Sige salamat.
Sa unahan napud ta.
Vlogger: In conclusion:
Sacraments becomes valid when it complies with the requirements concern such as
proper form, matter, minister, and intent. And it becomes If the recipient of the
sacraments undergo in a due process. Another example like in baptism, there is really a
pre-baptism seminar attended by the catechumens. And in marriage the two candidate
for marriage will undergo Pre-Cana. In ordination, the consent of the candidate for
ordination also matters and other requirements must be complied with to make the
received sacraments valid and legitimate.
Vlogger 2: Like in all sacraments also the form, matter, minister, and intent is very much
important to make the administration of the sacraments valid, And will undergo a correct
process to make it legitimate.
Thank you..
