Hyderabad is offering an exciting internship opportunity for Industrial and Visual
Communication design students.

About the L V Prasad Eye Institute 🏨

L V Prasad Eye Institute (LVPEI), a World Health Organization Collaborating Centre for Prevention
of Blindness, is a comprehensive eye health facility. The Institute offers comprehensive patient
care, sight enhancement and rehabilitation services and high-impact rural eye health programs. It
also pursues cutting-edge research and offers training in human resources for all levels of
ophthalmic personnel.

About the Center for Technology Innovation 💡

The Center for Technology Innovation is a state-of-the-art facility that focuses on developing
innovative medical devices and technologies to improve patient care. The Center is equipped with
the latest tools and technologies, and has a team of experts in various fields including engineering,
design, and medicine. Our aim is to provide Excellent, Efficient, and Equitable Eye Care for
everyone by bringing about an Order of Magnitude of Change in the existing Eye Care Solutions.

Internship Details 🧑‍💼

During the internship, students will work closely with the design team to develop new medical
devices and technologies. They will be involved in every stage of the design process, from
brainstorming and prototyping to testing and refining. Students will also have the opportunity to
collaborate with other teams within the Center, including engineering and medical professionals.

We are open for the following durations:

● Internship - 3 / 6 Months
● Fellowship - 8 / 12 Months

Requirements ✅
● Current enrollment in a design program
● Strong design skills and a portfolio of past work
● Proficiency in latest industry standard design softwares such as SolidWorks / Fusion,
Adobe CC / Figma, etc
● Good communication and collaboration skills
● Interest and empathy in Patient Care and Product Development
