INTRODUCTION
This worksheet is based on Unid 10 from the book Worldlink, and it consists of a
written activity and an oral activty regarding some topics such as There is/There are and
Vocabulary related to Rooms of the House.
WRITTEN ACTIVITY
you are going to write a 8 to 10 lines paragraph in which you are going to describe your
house and tell as many details as possible, how many rooms there are and are not in
your house and the items there are and are not in each of them, as well as, their color
and some characteristics like big, small, old, new, huge, expensive, etc.
Note: Use Present Simple Tense to make the descriptions of your dream hose.
in my dream house there is a very big kitchen, there are many cabinets, there are
crystal glasses and also many expensive plates, spoons and forks but there is no a
table. in my dream house there is a living room, there is a very big white sofa with
black cushions, there are a lot of very expensive art paintings and there are also
small decorations, finally there is a table. in my dream house there are two large
bathrooms in each one there are showers but no bathtubs there is also a toilet.there
is a very bright ceramic floor and walls. in my dream house there are many
bedrooms with big beds and white sheets, there are also giant televisions, but no
bedside tables. there are very large windows but no bedside tables. in my dream
house there is a back and front garden, there are many flowers of many colors and
there is not a fruit tree
ORAL ACTIVITY
Record a video of your house where you are going to show the rooms in it, how many
objects and which ones there are in each room indicating their color and some
characteristics like big, small, old, new, huge, expensive, etc. Then upload the video on
a virtual web and copy and paste the link in the corresponding spaace. Don’t forget to
take into account the video recording rubric.
Note: You must be in the video showing your face as you are describing each room in
your house.
