Book Review
Alice's Adventures in Wonderland
by Lewis Carroll

(i). Name of the Book: Alice's Adventures in Wonderland

(ii). Name of the Writer/Editor: Lewis Carroll
(iii). Year of Publication: 1865
(iv). Name of Publisher: Macmillan Publishers
(v). ISBN Number: 9781509827938
(vi). Genre: Fiction
(vii). Type of Binding: Paperback

(viii). Brief sketch of Major Characters:

1. Alice: A young girl with a vivid imagination, who falls
down a rabbit hole and enters a whimsical and nonsensical
world.
2. The White Rabbit: A hurried and anxious creature who
leads Alice into Wonderland.
3. The Mad Hatter: A quirky and eccentric character known
for his perpetual tea party and nonsensical riddles.
4. The Queen of Hearts: A temperamental and tyrannical ruler
who enjoys ordering beheadings.

(ix). Character I liked the most: The Cheshire Cat

(x). Why I liked that character:
The Cheshire Cat's enigmatic and mischievous nature
intrigued me. Its ability to disappear and reappear at will,
along with its cryptic and witty remarks, added an air of
mystery and fun to the story.

(xi). Character I hated the most: The Queen of Hearts

(xii). Why I hated that character:

The Queen of Hearts' impulsive and cruel behavior, constantly
demanding executions, made her an unlikable character. Her
irrational and quick-tempered nature created a sense of unease
and tension throughout the story.

(xiii). Brief description of Storyline:

"Alice's Adventures in Wonderland" follows the journey of
Alice, a young girl who falls into a rabbit hole and finds
herself in a fantastical world filled with peculiar creatures and
nonsensical situations. As Alice navigates Wonderland, she
encounters various eccentric characters, such as the Mad
Hatter, the White Rabbit, and the Queen of Hearts. The story
is a series of surreal and whimsical events, often defying logic
and challenging Alice's understanding of the world.

(xiv). Did I like it or dislike it? Why?

I liked "Alice's Adventures in Wonderland" for its imaginative
and fantastical nature. The story takes readers on a whimsical
journey filled with wordplay, absurdity, and clever
commentary on societal norms. Lewis Carroll's vivid and
imaginative storytelling, combined with the unique and
memorable characters, makes it a timeless classic. However,
some readers might find the lack of a traditional plot structure
and the nonsensical nature of the story challenging to follow.
