 PRESENT CONTINUOUS TENSE

A. The Definition of Simple Past Tense

Inmeaning, the present continuous tense or what is often called the present
progressive tense is the English tenses used to indicate an action or event that is
happening at the time the conversation is in progress.

Apart from that, this present continuous tense can also be used to make a
plan or promise in the future.

The English tenses formula used to form present continuous tense/present

progressive tense sentences are:

Kalimat Positif:Subject + Am / Is / Are + Verb –ing (Continuous Form)

Kalimat Negatif:Subject + Am / Is / Are + NOT + Verb –ing (Continuous
Form)
Kalimat Tanya:Am/is/are/Isn’t/aren’t + subject + present participle
(verb+ing)
Kata Sinyal

at the moment, just now, now, right now, Listen!, Look!

Kalimat Positif

Look! He is talking with his classmates.

The teachers are having a meeting at the moment.
Kalimat Negatif

He is not playing computer games now.

Listen! He is not laughing anymore.
 Kalimat Tanya

Is he playing computer games at the moment?

Dijawab dengan “Yes, he is.” Atau “No, he is not.”
