TRAINING ON FINANCIAL CONTROLLING ENHANCHING THE

CAPABILITIES OF IA AUDIT AND INVENTORY COMMITTEE IN ALA RIS
DAM 1
I. TRAINING OVERVIEW:
One of the powerful tools to strengthened the operation of Irrigators Association’s (IA’s)
is to utilized the financial aspect in accordance to the plans and this is the way of
monitoring the monthly financial activities by conducting regular audit and audit
report monthly.
II. TRAINING RATIONALE:
To ensure efficient and effective implementation of Ala RIS operations, the IA has to step up its
performance to cope with the demand on its obligations under IMT Program, specifically the IA
Audit and Inventory Committee.
Thus, orientation to the IA on the Audit and Inventory Committee objectives is needed to review
the duties and functions in preparation of IA financial statement and Audit report and findings.

IV. TRAINING FORMAT:
The training will include both web-based and print-based documents. There must be
printed programs, and training tarpaulin. At the end of the training, participants are
expected to provide output basic auditing procedure based on the forms provided
during workshops. As for event documentation, videos and photographs will be
generated for posting on NIA page. Also, the participants will be required to answer the
printed Pre & Post Training Knowledge Inventories (PTKI), and training feedback
evaluation forms.
V. TRAINING SCOPE:
The training will be held within Region XII from June 14-15, 2022. See the table of
program of activities below.

Definition of Terms:
 Attendees – is the total number of persons involved in the
facilitation or success of the training
 National Irrigation Administration – South Cotabato- Sarangani
Irrigation Management Office (NIA SCSIMO) – is a government
owned and controlled corporation primarily responsible in the water
resources development in the Philippines, specifically in the province
of South Cotabato and Sarangani
 Participants – refer to the Irrigators Association (IA)

VIII. EVALUATION:
The training will be evaluated through the Pre & Post Training Knowledge Inventories
(PTKI) given to the participants. Other than the difference between the scores of the pre
and posttests, participants are expected to provide actual outputs from what they have
learned in the training such as, more engaging media postings on the FB page of NIA
SCSIMO, and quality illustrations or graphical information about the agency. After the
training, outputs are expected to materialize.

IX. TRAINING RELATED SKILLS:
The resource speaker for this training shall be a well-equipped professional and had
knowledge in financial auditing and controlling. Other than the knowledge and skills
that he/she could impart to the participants, he/she must also have a good moral
character.
X. RESOURCE NEEDS:
To attain the success execution and completion of the training, it should have the
following resources:
 One (1) Camera – use for documentation purposes
 Laptop per participants – use for training activities
 Office Service Vehicles – help to transport the participants to the venue from the
office or specific location, or vice versa
 Stationeries
 One (1) printer with scanner (with full ink tank)
 Facility for training area:
a. Training Hall –accommodate maximum 42 attendees
b. Rooms/Amenities –accommodate 42 attendees
c. Meals – provide three (3) meals with two (2) snacks per day
d. Good Wi-Fi Connection
