ACCOMPLISHMENT REPORT ON SHIELD II IMPLEMENTATION

In response to the emerging global threat brought about by the effects of Coronavirus (CoVid 19)
to the global community. The Schools Division of Masbate Province launches a program called Project
SHIELD II which stands for School-Home Interactive Engagement of Learners’ Development. This
project aims to provide learning activities focusing in numeracy and literacy to learners while at home in
preparation for the opening of school year 2020 – 2021.
The teachers must adopt a minimum of five (5) mixed type learners – a fast learner, an average
learner and an academically challenged learner wherein an Individual Learning Activity Package (ILAP)
will be distributed to each learner every week by the so called teacher implementer who adopt him/her.
The Individual Learning Activity Package serves as supplementary learning materials in the midst
of Covid – 19 pandemics while pupils are at home.
The said program started last June 15, 2020 and ends last August 7, 2020.
During the implementation of the Program the school strictly follow the health protocols, like
wearing of face mask, washing of hands, spraying of alcohols.

The following are the accomplishments during the implementation of the Program:

 Oriented the Parents of the Adopted Learners about the program (Project SHIELD II)
last June 12, 2020 while following the Health Protocols.
 Availability of learning materials (ILAP).
 Printed ILAPs for each week.
 Distributed and Retrieved the ILAP for each week in the scheduled dates as seen in the table below.

 Recorded the result of the learners’ activities per week.
 Submitted the result of the learners’ activities to the school head.

The above activities were all successfully conducted because the school still aims to enhance and
nurture the skills, talents and knowledge of the pupils through the undying effort of teachers to develop
learners well – being and make them healthy, active and productive young citizen of our country despite
the crisis we have right now. And also through the positive attitude of the parents to encourage and
motivate their children’s involvement.
It was an overall experience full of ups and downs to both side – teacher, pupils and parents. We saw
it as a good training for adoptability against the sudden changes in this world. This program made us
realize that we should always be prepared in any challenges the department might give us due to this
sudden problem brought by this pandemic.
