here I will tell you about Disney starting from his childhood

Childhood

- Walter Elias Disney or better known as Walt Disney, was born in Chicago, Illinois, United
States, on December 5, 1901, to Elias Disney and Flora Call. His father, Elias Disney, moved
from Huron County, Ontario to the United States in 1878, in search of gold in California.
However, he ended up farming with his parents near Ellis, Kansas until 1884. Elias did work
for the Union Pacific Railroad and married Flora Call on January 1, 1888 in Acron, Florida.
When Walt was four years old, Elias and his family moved to a farm in Marceline.
- In Marceline, Disney developed an interest in painting. The Disney family remained in
Marceline for four years, before moving to Kansas City in 1911. There, Walt and his younger
sibling Ruth attend Benton Grammar School, where he meets Walter Pfeiffer. Pfeiffer
introduced the world of vaudeville and film to Walt.

Adolescence

- In 1917, Elias bought a stake in the O-Zell jelly factory in Chicago, then moved the family
back to the city. That same year, Disney began trying to get there at McKinley High School
and began attending evening courses at the Chicago Art Institute. Disney was made a
cartoonist for his school newspaper. His cartoon works were patriotic, focusing on World
War I. Disney was expelled from school at the age of 16, then tried to join the U.S. Armed
Forces, but was not accepted because he was not old enough.
- In Pesmen-Rubin, Disney created advertisements for newspapers, magazines, and theaters. It
was here that he met the cartoonist Ubbe Iwerks. After the end of their temporary work at
Pesmen-Rubin, the two of them did not have jobs, and decided to set up their own company.
Disney developed an interest in animation, then would be used as an animator. Eventually,
Walt opened his own trading business/ animation services, then recruited a colleague from
the Kansas City Film Ad Company, Fred Harman, as his first worker. Walt and Harman
eventually won an agreement with local movie theater owner Frank L. Newman, known as
the most famous showman in the Kansas City area, to broadcast a cartoon titled "Laugh-O-
Grams" at the theater.

Laugh O' Gram Studio

- Titled "Newman Laugh-O Grams," Disney cartoons became popular in Kansas City. From
their success, Disney can buy their own studio. Unfortunately, due to the high salary of
employees, Walt was unable to take care of finances. As a result, his studio was in debt and
went bankrupt. Disney set up a studio in Hollywood, California.

Hollywood

Disney and his brother raised money to set up a cartoon studio in Hollywood. He needed a
distributor for his new cartoon Alice Comedies which he started making in Kansas City.

Golden Age of Animation in 1937–1941, “"Disney's Folly": Snow White and the Seven
Dwarfs”

- The film industry learned of Disney's plans to adapt the Snow White story into an animated
feature film, they laughed at Disney's plan for "Disney's Folly" and were convinced that the
project would destroy Disney.
- Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs was made from 1934 to mid-1937, when the studio ran
out of funds. To obtain financing to prepare the Snow White film, Disney was forced to
borrow at Bank of America. It premiered at the Carthay Circle Theater on December 21,
1937. After the film aired, the audience stood up to applaud Snow White and the Seven
Dwarfs.
- It was made the most successful film of 1938 after earning over $8 million in its first run.
- The success of snow white led Disney to build a new campus for Walt Disney Studios in
Burbank, which opened on December 24, 1939. Snow White not only marked the peak of
Disney's success, but also began an era known as the Golden Age of Animation for Disney.
- All feature film animation workers, after preparing the Pinocchio film, continued work for
fantasia and Bambi, as well as the early stages of production of Alice in Wonderland and
Peter Pan, while short film workers continued their work for the cartoons Miki, Donald, Gufi
and Pluto.
World War II, 1941–1945

During World War II, the U.S. army contracted many disney studio facilities. The studio
workers created training and instruction films for the military such as Der Fuehrer's Face.
However, military films do not provide income.

After World War II, in 1945- 1955

Disney studios also produced a cheap package film that contained a collection of short
cartoon films, and then released them in theaters. The package includes Make Mine Music,
Melody Time, Fun and Fancy Free, and The Adventures of Ichabod and Mr. Toad.

The Death of Walt Disney

After 1966, Disney was scheduled to undergo neck surgery due to a long-standing injury from a
game of polo. On November 2, 1966, during surgery, doctors at Providence St. Joseph Medical
