Dear Wendy,
I’m having a wonderful time here in Indonesia. I’m staying at a fabulous hotel on the island of Bali.
The weather is hot and perfect for sunbathing, but there are so many other things to do here! You can go
sailing on the clear blue sea, visit fantastic temples and so much more! I spend most of my time exploring
the beautiful countryside.
The Indonesians are very gentle people. They’re good-looking, too, with beautiful black hair and friendly
smiling faces.
The food is absolutely amazing here. The Indonesians like eating chicken and seafood.
Next week, I’m going to Sumatra. I can’t wait to visit the zoo reserve there! My flight is leaving from
Sumatra next Sunday, so I hope you’ll get this before I get home.

I’m having an amazing time here in New Zealand. At the moment, I’m staying at a farmhouse near the town
of Waitomo.
The weather is warm, but not too hot for sightseeing- and there is so much to do here! You can go walking
in the mountains; explore the beautiful countryside and much more! I spend most of my time here fishing on
the river.
The Maoris are really helpful and kind to visitors. They’re very attractive too, with beautiful dark eyes and
friendly smiles.
The food is delicious. The fresh fruit and vegetables are fantastic. I love eating the roast New Zealand lamb!
Next Monday I’m going to Wellington. I can’t wait to se the stunning views of the city from Mount
Victoria. My flight is leaving from Wellington next Friday, so I hope this letter will arrive home before I do!
