 INTRODUCTION

My name is Nor Izzati Binti Baharuddin . I’m

from Teluk Intan , Perak . The course that I’m taking

is Diploma in Banking Studies . The course is actually

the first choice for me to further my study in UITM . I

am glad to be a part of students of UITM Merbok ,

Kedah .I hope that I can get a higher pointer in every

semester that I take .

This self reflection learning journal is created for

the purpose of my individual assignment project . This

assignment will be a part for me to get a mark in the

course that I am taking Fundamentals of Management

or course code as MGT162 . In this self reflection

learning journal , I would like to present notes from

every topic that I have learned under the guide of

Madam Intan Nazrenee Binti Ahmad , a lecturer who

taught me the subject . Without the guide of Madam

Intan , it will be difficult for me to do this individual

assignment by myself .

Course Fundamental of Management have taught me

the expression on how to understand the concept of

management , how to be good as a leader , how to make

sure that I can achieve our goals and others . This course

MGT 162 were very helpful for students to be motivated in doing

anything that they wanted to do and focus to make sure

they achieve goals in studying . It will make a students

feel they want to achieve their target in future .

 WHAT IS LEARNING ?

Learning is the process of gaining new

understanding, information, habits, abilities,

beliefs, attitudes, and desires. Humans,

animals, and some machines have the

capacity to learn there is also evidence in

some plants for some form of learning.

Some learning is direct . It is caused by a

single event and repetitive experiences

accumulate a great deal of skill and

knowledge. The learning-induced changes

frequently last a lifetime, and it is difficult to

separate learned information that appears to

be "lost" from what can not be recovered.

For me, learning as a student is something that we

must do. When we learn it, it'll be a really fascinating

thing. It is because I feel that I can add more in-depth

knowledge by learning new material. For instance, I

can learn a new subject such as Fundamentals of

" EDUCATION IS Management or known as MGT 162 when entering

NOT THE university. This course talks about how to properly

LEARNING OF handle management. Effective organization

KNOWLEDGE BUT management can help the company expand more.

THE MIND'S Besides that , I can learn it more by asking to the

EXPERIENCE

STUDYING MGT162

In my opinion, this was something new experience when I was offered the option to take

the Fundamentals of Management course. This is because I did not take management

subjects at secondary school level. I therefore go through these courses to be able to know

more deeply about how to more effectively and skillfully run an organization. I would like

to talk about my experience when learn Fundamentals of Management . There is a lot of

experience and knowledge on how to do management by learning their concept of

management , leading , controlling , motivation and the other chapters . This also made me

feel eager to study this courses in semester 1 .

First of all, I want to share my experience with MGT 162 of what I learned. These

courses explore how students or individuals want to be influential in their management.

They talk about a person's need to be good about how to properly manage their

organization. This is because if the company manages well, it would achieve an goal for

their organization. This indicates that their company is successful in every area of their

management by hitting a goals.

Besides that , even though this semester I'm just study through online because of the

Covid-19 pandemic that is happening all over the world. This does not stop me from trying

to learn something new, but it's a little complicated for me because while learning online,

not all topics are easy to understand. Among the topics that are very difficult for me to

understand, especially chapter leading, control, communication and quality, even though I

have seen the video provided by my lecturer during the online course. So I need to ask the

lecturers about subjects I don't understand. I hope that the other semester I could enter my

college life as a students at there.

 MY OWN STRATEGY

As a student , time management it is very important and we must

always practice it to be more motivated to do it . We must avoid

our self to do useless things like frequent surfing of social media

that can neglect me. In fact, I have time to use it by making my

daily schedule such as making a checklist of MGT162 assignments

given by the teacher. This can help me to complete the MGT162

task without any overlap in other classes .

The strategy that can be use to study is by making a mind map

concept . This is very easy for a students to understand for each

chapter that they have study . With the various mind maps

available, I can make a summary of notes on what I learned. For

example, chapter leading for a types of leading , I write it using a

tree map that can make me feel more easy to understand . In fact

I also saw various explanations made by my lecturer using a mind

map concept too .

For me reading before class begins is something that is quite

helpful in helping me to understand all the subjects taught by the

lecturers, especially the subjects that are very difficult for me.

Therefore , I have to read it first in order to make it easier for me

to know the subjects that have been taught. Even when asked by

the lecturers, since I already learn the topics in advance, I can

answer it easily.

Lastly, the strategy I can use is as a student I have to ask the

lecturer about a topic I do not understand. As lecturers, they need

to be open to accepting all the questions asked by their students.

This can even help the students solve the problems they face.

This will also facilitate the teaching of lecturers because their

students easily understand the subjects taught, especially Basic

Management courses that require a variety of knowledge on how

to manage an organization.

Since I learn fundamentals of management , it was very helpful for me because I found

difficult theories in my own way that is easier to understand and explain each aspect of

different concepts of each topic. This really helps me to improve the quality of my learning

towards management of an organization to become better after studying it in MGT 162 .

This make feel that I can achieve my own goals in the future . As a saying goes , success will

not come without hard work from ourselves . By learning MGT162 , it makes me feel

inspired to be a successful business woman in the future. With the skills and knowledge I

learned in the Fundamentals of Management to some extent I can use it towards

management that will be manage by me .
