First of foremost, I would like to express a massive thanks to the lecturer, DR.
Hasmida for her willingness and enthusiasm for the whole semester teaching us. She has
made learning easier and less stressful for what I consider as a killer subject.

My belief about myself as a learner when I entered the class was a positive one. After
2 years in UNIMAS, I had plenty of practice with different learning techniques and found
what works well for me. I think I'm a visual learner instead of an aural learner. It is simpler to
recall information from a powerpoint presentation than it is to retain information from a
lecture. When I first started the class, I felt I preferred working alone over group work, but
that has since shifted. Working in groups is more useful to me since I can accomplish more. I
thought that reviewing the information closer to the deadline was a better option when I first
started the class since I might forget how Much I have read if I didn't. I have discovered that
attending a lesson with individuals who don't criticise or make a spectacle of your inquiries
makes the learning process a lot simpler than if people are judgemental.

For the whole semester, the lecturer, Dr Hasmida has exposed me on the world of
‘Knowledge Management’. Knowledge management is a broad method for producing,
utilising, sharing, and preserving a firm's knowledge and information (KM). It's an inter
strategy for enhancing the potential of a firm's intellectual capital in order to achieve business
objectives such as boosting competitive edge, continuous improvement, encouraging

creativity, sharing ideas, and continuously improving the firm. The major aim of knowledge
management, in my opinion, is to connect individuals gathering answers within an
organisation with someone who already has it, with both the goal of improving the team's and
company's overall knowledge level.

In my view, the exercise or activities given during class such as the padlet activities
has help me understand more in depth and how to apply and utilize the theories. With these
kinds of exercise, it will help me to think more critically on how to utilize the theories and
model, especially the SECI Model. The SECI Model has 4 component which is Socialization,
Externalization, Combination and Internalization. The SECI Model in my opinion is the best
use when I’m in the situation where I required to create knowledge, acquiring and implement
tacit to explicit knowledge. For example, from the group project, I have to utilize the SECI
Model in order to solve the firms’ issues. This is when I realized that this model has help me
to understand and solve problems in the present or in the incoming future when I’m in the
corporate world.

Overall, I am very pleased with my experience in the Knowledge Management class. I

am thankful that I was giving a chance by the university and the lecturer to learn and exposed
on this subject which I found would be very useful to researcher to acquire knowledge on
their study and useful for firms to apply knowledge among their employees. Lastly, I would
strongly advise the university to give other students from different faculties to get a chance to
take this course and not only limited to Corporate Management students.
