I. INTRODUCTION

In the last ten years, a lot of merchants have quickly adopted a number of applications of
technology. Self-service technology is one of the technologies that is being used more and more. By
looking at a nomological network of the relationships linked to TBSS kiosks, the current study
attempted to investigate the function of technology-based self-service (TBSS) kiosks as an optional
channel for customer care inside a retail shop context. Two studies were done to achieve this goal;
study 1 empirically examined the research model for each type of TBSS kiosk (i.e., self-checkouts). as
well as information kiosks), while Study 2 examined if the layouts of the Crossing two TBSS kiosks,
the proposed linkages are either similar or different (Hyun, J.L., 2008). By including formation
processing capabilities, such as self-service technology (SST), in addition to basic information
distribution, today's quickly evolving world is expediting the growth of novel technologies. The
adoption of technology in the hotel sector is growing and evolving, and new opportunities are
continually being investigated. One of the most prevalent SSTs is a kiosk, which is today
acknowledged as one of the most recent inventions in the restaurant sector (Kyung, H.S.,2020).

A kiosk is a little, transient, standalone booth that's utilized for marketing in busy places. A
kiosk is typically staffed by one or two people who work to draw attention to the booth in order to
get new clients. Retail kiosks offer businesses a low-cost alternative to advertising their goods or
services, and they are typically found in shopping malls or on busy city streets with plenty of foot
traffic. A kiosk is a little, transient, standalone booth that's utilized for marketing in busy places.
Kiosks can be operated electronically or by one or two people. These booths are regarded as
inexpensive marketing tactics that make excellent alternatives for start-up businesses. Typically,
kiosks are little booths erected in busy places. They may be visible in shopping mall walkways. They
might be staffed by people who offer to sell anything from toys and hair products to credit cards and
insurance. Kiosks are not always watched over by people. In fact, some of them are computerized
and provide customers with a self-service environment. These kiosks typically add to a service that
the kiosk owner already provides. Using electronic kiosks that function similarly to automated teller
machines, the general public is permitted to conduct some operations at several provincial
government offices in Canada, such as renewing vehicle registration or updating personal
information for health cards and driver's licenses. (ATMs). This eliminates the need for the customer
to stand in line at a provincial ministry and enables them to complete these chores independently
(Kenton, 2023).

RESEARCH OBJECTIVES
This study's goals are to learn more about and comprehend kiosks. The goal of this study is to
provide people with a fundamental understanding of kiosks, their purposes, and their significance.
