1. William James

For William James he state the context of consciousness . Self as “Me” as


an object of experience while self as “I” as a subject of experience.

4. Carl Rogers

For Carl Rogers he state the self-actualization. Self is a term for who we
really are as a fully functioning person whether it become a self-actualized

5. Sigmund Freud

For Sigmund Freud, self is one’s behavior to balance the demands of id,
ego and superego in the practical context of reality.

Do a research and list (10) things about your self-esteem or improve your self-
concept. Cite your sources. Analyze which of those tips are more likely to
backfire and make someone conceited or narcissistic and revise them to make
the statements both helpful to the individual as well as society in general.

I think the most tip are more likely to backfire is get movin’ because
sometimes in doing such things we only think what is best for us, what we
wanted to achieve in our self and because of that we tend not to think if someone
is having a feeling of hatred to us because sometimes being full in our self can
hurt someone’s ego, can change our attitude and our perspective in life.
For example: You accidentally step someone’s foot and say sorry but that
someone is kind of excessive for attention, instead of accepting it she was angry
and give you a sharp looking eye and then left.
I think I would revise the tip into “ Don’t get easily affected and keep moving”
