There are also different classifications

of art that we give meanings. Philippines, one of the country that preserve their
own culture. One of the country that supports art in so many ways they could think
of. That is the Philippine Contemporary Art. Everyone have their own mindset on
dealing with it. One of them is Dr. Patrick Flores.
According to him, Philippine Contemporary art is "the feeling (is) that all is
possible in the contemporary conceived as constantly extending and deepening
constellation of art."
Dr. Flores states that art has a wide range. It can explore all aspects. Even our
environment is made up of art. Our daily lives includes art. The feeling that all
is possible, this phrase said it all. We can create things outside the box with the
help of art. We can widen our knowledge by knowing what art truly is. Art comes in
many forms, it can either be on visuals, music, theater, and many more can be
associated with it. Imagine our world without art's existence, all you can see is
plain, darkness, negativity and loneliness. He also states that art is expanding.
It did not end on just a simple thought, not just in one mind and understanding.
One artwork can explore different minds and different thinking. Deepening the
constellation of art, this only means that art is not just art. It defines lives
and create bridges to boundaries. It breaks wall and let everyone to pass through.
That is art, art is our life. Art define us as individuals. That is what Dr.
Patrick Flores wants us to bear in mind. That eventhough Philippines is a small
country, we can join the others by expressing ourselves through the work of art,
through ourselves, and becoming an inspiration for others to show theirselves in
their own little way.
