Procedure For Entering
the Library
1. Park your vehicle in the designated area; no parking right in front of the
main door of the library.
2. Remove footwear such as shoes and sandals when entering the library.
3. Fill in or write down the member number in the space provided.
4. Leave luggage such as bags in the lockers that have been provided either
with a key or without a key.
5. Fill in the visitor's attendance through the computer by highlighting the
member card or typing the member number.
6. Search for collection information through the computer catalog (OPAC) or
visit the collection rack to find the required collection.

Book Loan Procedure
1. Pick up a borrowing form available at the information desk or book lending service at the
library.
2. Fill in the form with the required information, such as your member number, the title of the
book you wish to borrow, and the return date. Double-check the information on the
borrowing form to make sure there are no errors.
3. Submit the form and present your membership card to the lending service officer.
4. Wait for the officer to process your loan request and verify the information on the form.
5. If all the requirements are met, then you can take home the book you want to borrow.
Don't forget to be aware of the borrowing deadline and return date.
6. Take good care of the book and return it according to the predetermined schedule.
7. If you want to extend the loan period, ask the library staff about the extension procedure,
and don't forget to comply with the applicable requirements.
8. Thank you to the library staff, and make sure to return the book according to the deadline.
Book Return Procedure
1. Make sure that the book you want to return is in accordance with the predetermined return
schedule.
2. Bring your book and membership card to the return service section of the library.
3. Hand over the book you want to return along with your membership card to the return
service officer.
4. The officer will check the loan transaction data, the condition of the book, and confirm the
return of the book. If there is no problem with the book, the return process will be
completed.
5. If there is damage to the book, the officer will evaluate the damage and inform you of the
cost of repairing or replacing the damaged book.
6. If the borrower wants to extend the loan again, the clerk will record it in the book loan
procedure.
7. The clerk hands over the member card to the borrower and puts the book on the trolley
before the book is returned to the bookshelf.
Book Renewal
Procedure
1. Borrowers visit the library directly and go to the
lending service.
2. The borrower shows his or her membership card and
hands over the book to be renewed to the clerk.
3. The clerk will check the loan transaction data,
whether the book can still be renewed or not.
4. If the book can still be renewed, the officer will
stamp the book return stamp on the last page of the
book as a sign that the book has been renewed.
5. The clerk will record the loan extension in the book
loan procedure.
6. The clerk hands over the member card and the
renewed book to the borrower.
7. The book renewal process is complete.

1. Prepare a photocopy of a valid ID card.


2. Pick up the registration form at the library's
member registration section.
3. Fill in the form completely and correctly,
including a photocopy of your ID card and a
passport photo.
4. Submit the form and supporting documents
to the registration officer.
5. Wait for confirmation from the officer
regarding your registration status and library
card collection.
Procedures For Countermeasures
Against Damage to Library Materials
Conduct a condition survey of library materials to
determine the condition of each library material,
then divide them into 3 groups: still good, dirty and
fragile, or physically damaged (defective).
Handle library materials in the last two groups to
prevent further damage, such as by cleaning,
repairing, binding, protecting with protective boxes,
or transferring to other media.
Prevention of damage due to human factors can be
done through user education and supervision of the
use of library materials.
Prevent damage caused by environmental factors by
regulating the temperature and humidity of the
room, lighting intensity, and maintaining the
cleanliness of the library material storage room, as
well as fumigating with toxic gases to eradicate
insects or fungi attached to library materials.
PROCEDURE FOR BOOK REPAIR
Lamination or encapsulation: machine or manual lamination of weathered or torn
library materials to extend their life and make them look strong or whole again. Also,
encapsulate on clean, dry, acid-free paper to protect against physical damage.
Binding: Prepare tools such as knives, hammers, punches, scissors, folding bones, iron
rulers, brushes, saws, needles, threads, presses, sewing trays, cutting machines, and
so on, as well as binding materials such as paper, linen cloth, adhesives, threads,
and sewing wires. Prepare the book well before binding by carefully organizing the
papers or library materials, neatly combining them, and slipping in the binding
instructions. There are five types of binding to choose from: wood binding, signature
binding, glue-back binding, spiral binding, and duct tape binding.

Bringing bags or jackets into the library is prohibited.
Eating, drinking, and smoking are prohibited in the library.
Every visitor is obliged to maintain peace, security, and order.
It is forbidden to borrow books from the library without permission.
Please use cellular phones with the ring tone turned off inside the library.
Please return books on time and do not exceed the specified time limit.
Please do not damage or deface books or library facilities.
Please respect the needs of others and do not borrow more books than
needed.
Please avoid talking about things not related to your studies in the library.
Please follow the rules regarding the use of computers and the internet in
the library.

Please use earphones or headphones when listening to audio or video in
the library.
Please show your membership card or ID when borrowing books.
Please return all items belonging to the library after use.
Please ask the library staff for assistance if you need help finding books or
other information.
Please keep the library clean and tidy.
Do not bring weapons or other dangerous items into the library.
Please return borrowed books or reading materials to their original places
after use.

concentration of other users, such as speakers.
Please keep the restrooms and other public facilities in the library clean.
Do not disturb other users in the library with inappropriate behavior or
conversation.
Please do not borrow books for others or lend your library card to others.
Please make suggestions or complaints through the forms available in the
library if you have a particular problem or need.
Please use the photocopy or scanner facilities properly and according to
the applicable rules.

Do not take books or reading materials from the library without a valid

Please respect the rules and policies that have been established to keep
the library safe and functioning properly.
