or we are showing interest that can change a one- or two-person’s life. It shows to the article
that many people focus only on physical appearance but in reality we need to show interest in
other people to not only boost their confidence and help them to be encourage especially on

Empathy, Cognitive Action that Requires Care

Empathy is generally defined as the identifiication with an

understanding of another person's situation feelings and motives. It allows us
to understand and share feelings to others. According to Mindtocks (2016)
empathy is being able to recognize emotions in others, and to be able to
proverbially put yourself in their shoes. Kindness is an important step on the
road to empathy. However, majority of people avoid feeling empathy. The
problem is because they think it requires extreme mental effort. People
choose to avoid empathy because of its cognitive costs unless they have
capabilities to do it.
Empathy is talked about almost everywhere. It is touted as a
critical leadership skill, one that helps influence others community. But recent
research suggests that it may be in a bit too intense which make disastrous
decisions. It depletes our mental resources that can possibly lead to
compassion fatigue. Health and human services professionals including
doctors. nurses and social workers are definitely at risk because empathy is
central to their everyday jobs. Empathy usually drains ther energy and cause
lapses in ethical judgement.
