Safety Information

Introduction
We, SG healthcare CO, LTD, have the performance and reliability of our equipment as main
objectives. And we strictly follow the quality control system in order to find and prevent any
possible defects.

This Equipment is built to provide medical diagnostic images. X-ray images could be taken by
altering the angle and distance to meet the required uses. Using this equipment without
acknowledging the purpose, could harm users and patient.

Following contents must be studied by the user for the safety in use and maintenance of the
equipment.
Manual Conventions
In this manual, we used the following three icons to reduce the chance of possible accidents.
Please for the safety, study through this manual about every safety warning.

Warning
This Icon is used to warn about the possible accidents that could lead to severe
injuries and death

Caution
This Icon is used to give cautions in use and maintenance that could damage the
machine and harm the user.

Note
This Icon is to provide additional information.
General Safety
This equipment contains number of mechanical and electrical safety features that can
prevents injuries of users and patients.

Note
For the operation and maintenance of the machine, the user must be fully
educated about this manual. For the safety, please read every Warning, Caution
and Note in this manual before using the machine.

Note
If there is a need of repair in either mechanical or electrical problem,
Service must be provided by the qualified engineer.

The following are normal safety rules.

l Do not uncover the machine without a reason.


l Do not remove the safety features without a reason.
l Do not try to repair, if there is a problem. Contact a service engineer to resolve
the problem.
l Do not relocate the machine. If you need to relocate, it is dangerous to disconnect
electrical cables. You need to contact a service engineer for the relocation and re-
install.
l Before using the machine, you need to study through this manual about every
safety warning.

Note
Broken or Damaged materials/ equipment must be disposed in accordance of
local regulations.
Electrical and Mechanical Safety
Only qualified service engineer must repair mechanical and electrical problems.

A. Electrical safety

For the safety of users and patients, all the cable must be insulated.
All the covers must be in place for the mechanical safety.

l Do not move any panel without a reason.


l Please ensure cables and sockets must not be exposed.

B. Mechanical safety

Followings are general safety rules for the mechanical movement.

l When the machine is in the movement, make sure your hand and fingers are not on
the way.
l When the machine is in the movement, keep observe patient position.
l When the machine is in the movement, keep the surrounding safe and always
keep the machine area clean.
l Please do not operate the machine uncovered, unless instructed by a qualified
engineer.

Procedural Safety

This manual is designed to provide procedures that can ensure safety of users and quality
of product. Disregarding the procedure, could lead to serious defect in equipment and
harm users and patients’ safety.

l Beware about every safety warning in this manual.


User Maintenance/Servicing
Unless it is specially instructed by the manual, all the maintenance needs to be provided
by the qualified engineer. All the electrical assembly, cable and mechanical assembly must
not be repaired by the user.

A. Cleaning and sterilization

Using wrong chemicals for cleaning and sterilization could damage the machine and
cause fire. We, manufacturer, will not provide warranty for the damage caused by
chemicals.

Warning
Do not turn on the machine while cleaning
Please switch off the machine before cleaning.

Caution
Do not spray cleaning liquid directly on the machine. Use soft fabric or cloth
to clean. And Do not spray cleaning liquid on other person.

Caution
Do not soak any part of equipment in cleaning liquid.
Do not use high pressure sterilizer.
Hardware/Software Modifications
Software is fully installed in the machine. The followings are the problems that you might
encounter when you add or partially remove the software without permission.

l Danger of users or patients


l Reduced in X-ray image quality
l Malfunction, failure and damaging the machines

Warning
Do not remove the installed safety features.

Warning
Do not relocate the equipment without permission.
Only qualified engineer can remove the communication cable.

Warning
Follow the instructions regarding safety which is written on the label.
Environmental Safety and Operating Environment
The equipment must be place in the area where machine can be well ventilated.
Manufacturer will not be responsible any damage caused by chemical reaction, gas,
fire in any circumstances.

The following contents are about the conditions where the machine can perform well. If the
operating environment is out of the condition provided, it can damage the machine.

Warning
Operating the machine that are out of the specified condition range, could cause
malfunction of the machine.

Radiation and X-Ray General Safety Information
Operating X-Ray machine and users need to meet following requirements:

l Center for Devices and Radiological Health (CDRH)


l National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST)
l National Council on Radiation Protection (NCRP)
l International Committee on Radiation Protection (ICRP)

The user who operate or deal with the machine, must follow and beware of the laws and
regulations.
If the users are educated and aware of the danger and safe use of the X-ray radiation, it
could be used safety without harming. And users need to be acknowledgeable of the safety
requirements and warning about X-ray.

Manufacturer’s Responsibility
The machine must be operated by the user who are educated adequately.

이The manufacturer, his representatives and his agents will not be responsible for any
damage caused by over-exposure of X-ray radiation. We will not be responsible for any
damage caused by repair and installation provided by an unauthorized service engineer.

This manual contains the installation, usual manual and spare part.

1.2 Description
This equipment uses X-ray tube, collimator to provide X-ray medical images. This
equipment is design to maximize space utility.

2.1 Introduction
This chapter describes basic installation of the machine.
2.2 Unpacking
When you receive the product, you will find the product in the wooden packing. To unpack
it, you need to use required tools. Before unpacking, please move the products in the open,
wide and safe area to unpack.

To unpack the wooden packing, you will need the following tools:

l Normal service tools


l Tool Bit

1. If you unpack the wooden packing; it will look like the following picture in a
vacuumed vinyl bag.

2. If you remove a vacuumed vinyl pack, it will look like the following:
3. Straighten the product vertically, take out the vinyl wraps.

2.4 Overview
Before you start installation, you need to check the following:

l Safety Equipment
l Personnel Required
l Required good for installation
l Preparation of the installation site

2.4.1 Safety Equipment

Wear the following safety equipment until the end of installation.

l Safety helmet
l Safety glasses
l Lumbar pad
l Safety footwear

2.4.2 Personnel Required


For installation, it is highly recommended to have more than 2 persons for the installation.
For the safety, all the workers must wear the safety equipment.

These items are the separated components which is not connected to the main components,

2.6 Locking Bolts and WARNING Label
Figure 2-4 shows the position of weight locking bolts and warning label. Before you turn
the machine on, you must remove weight locking bolt.

Caution
Without removing weight locking bolt could cause serious trouble,
It is in tube stand and wall stand.
2.7 Installation of tube stand
2.7.1 Preparation for tube stand
• Remove the rail cover.
• Remove stopper

• Position the rail 200 mm from the back of the wall


• Use the anchor bolts to fix the rail to the ground.
2.7.2 Tube stand assembly

• Remove the lock from the back of the tube stand.

• Put the tube stand on the rail


• After putting the tube stand on the rail, re-attach the rail stopper.
2.8 Installation of Arms

2.8.1 Installation of Tube Arm & Tube Holder


1. Assemble the X-Ray Tube and collimator on the tube holder.

2. Assemble tube and collimator.

2.9.2 Installation of Grid

Remove the wall stand and table’s bucky cover, then assemble the G r id .

1. Position the Grid, use the Bracket to fix the Grid.

1.1.2 High Tension Cables

1. Verify that the HT cable terminations are clean, in good condition, and coated with
vapor proof compound.
2. Remove the dust caps that cover the high voltage terminals on the HT tank.
3. Connect the anode and cathode cables to the HT tank. Ensure that the cables are
plugged into the proper connectors on the HT tank. Refer to figure 1-3.
4. Be sure that the HT cable connectors are tight and there is no play between the
connector insulator and the screw-down ring.

Use these step to access the GENERATOR SETUP menu (membrane console)
Step Action(membrane console)

1 Start with the generator switched OFF


While pressing and holding the MENU button, press the power ON

button on the console.
3 Enter the password by pressing the button sequence: [1]-[8]-[4]-[5].

4 The GENERATOR SETUP menu will be displayed next.

1.2.5 AED (Auto Exposure Detect) Mode

Ÿ The detector detects the amount of X-ray automatically and then acquiring images. After that,
the detector transmits image data.
Ÿ No need to connect Generator interface cable.

1.3.0 Tube Calibration

Step 1 : Select the want tube upload. (Please select Apply)

Step 2 : Tube is set low speed. (Please select Apply)

Step 3 : After selecting the focus is small calibration.

Step 4 : Calibration is complete you see the message, Push the hand switch.
Step 5 : Calibrated the same way is a large focus.
