Have you seen balloons like these? Do you know how to
make them? It looks pretty easy, right? So, I tried to make a dog so many times
but it’s not always the same with the one in the picture. Well, maybe
its not as easy as I thought it was going to be. Maybe the professionals
knew a lot more about it than I do.
This kind of reminds me of the way God works in our life. If
we try to do things on our own with our life, its not always seem to be the best. But if we let
God take control of our life and let Him shape us into whatever He wants us to be, the result
is always the best. Let us put our trust in Him. Proverbs 3:5 says “Trust in the Lord with all
your heart, and do not lean on you own understanding. ”
OPENING
PRAYER:
Dear Jesus, please mold me in accordance to your will. Every time I try to
do things on my own, I always end up wrong. Lead my life so I will always
take the right path, Amen.
These flowers are called Sampaguita, the National flower of the Philippines. It is
small and white and grows as a woody vine or semi- climbing shrub. Several countries in
Southeast Asia consider Sampaguita as the flower of love. In fact, in Indonesia,
Sampaguita necklaces are exchanged as an expression of love with an intention of
marriage. The flowers name is believed to come from the phrase “sumpa kita.” This
fragrant flower blooms at night and wilts within the day.
Geometric Shapes
Central Philippine Union Conference of SDA -- Education Department 4
Everything has a shape, right? But what exactly is a shape?
Shape is a flat area surrounded by edges or an outline. Artists use
all kinds of shapes. Geometric shapes are precise and
regular, like squares, rectangles and triangles. They are
often found in human-made things, like buildings and
machines.
Isaiah 64: 8 says, “Yet, O Lord, You are our Father. We are the
clay. You are the potter; we are all the work of Your hand.” God loves us so much that He
wants to shape us and form us to become like Jesus. Let us open to God so He can do mighty
works in our lives.
Try Look at the robot below. What geometric shapes are used to
It form it? Write at least 5 geometric shapes.
