The web site is now live. There has been very positive feedback amongst all staff about the
look and content of the web site.
Project completed within the topic which had discussed on the planning stage
Now company staffs are capable for social media promotions and SOE operation by in
house training.
Company policies and procedure was followed strictly throughout the project.
Now company have visible sales increment, hoping company will achieve the targets
shortly
Summary of Recommendations
The team is recommended to the management to appoint new IT department and
staffs for the website maintains.
And also recommended to appoint a quality tester to assure the security features of the
website.
The project manager recommended to agree that the project can be deemed closed.
It is four months since the project commenced and the web site is now complete.
Delays occurred because of the following:
The web site develop per could not complete the web site within the required timelines
as originally stated in their quote.
There were additional delays due to the customer service officer’s departure and
changes to the web site during the development as a result of the project manager’s
input.
The design of the logo took longer.
The estimated cost for the logo was doubled because the first designer employed was
unable to develop a logo to the company’s liking and so a new logo designer was
contracted. This therefore doubled the costs as the first designer, as well as the second
designer needed to be paid
The actual performance of the project in relation to the delivery of the outputs were all planned.
The quality of the outcomes also upto the planned quality of the outcomes. But in the case of
budget and time the project has compromised in some extends
Lessons learnt
In risk management strategy, chance of leaving of team members are not considered.
Design works like logo designs are an artistic work, so the approval methodology is varying
with the circumstances.
