I. OBJECTIVE
Responds to differences in sound quality coming from a variety of sound sources.
Demonstrate the understanding of the basic concepts of texture. Sing songs using the concept of texture by
singing “round songs”

A. PRELIMINARY ACTIVITIES
1. DRILL
Let children identify the melody of “Twinkle, Twinkle little star”. Let them identify the
quality of sounds (Manipis o Makapal)
2. REVIEW
Review past lesson
B. DEVELOPMENTAL ACTIVITIES
1. MOTIVATION
Let the students produce different kind of sounds using rhythmic sounds that can be found
inside the classroom. (e.g. Pencils, books, sticks etc…)
2. PRESENTATION
Let children identify the recorded voice if it used a singing voice or speaking voice.
Guessing Game: Tell the children to listen carefully and tell whether the singer is male or
female.
3. DISCUSSION
Discuss new lesson to them
Ang awit ay may manipis na tunog kapag isang melody ang dumadaloy at nagiging makapal
naman kapag maraming tinig, tunog o melody ang magkakasabay.
Ang isang awit ay manipis kung ang melodiya ay inaawit o tinutugtog nang walang kasabay
na ibang instrument o boses.
4. GENERALIZATION
Remember:
All things surround us produce sound with different colors or timbre. Female and male voices, and
different musical instruments produce different quality of sounds.
Activity no. 1
Tukuyin kung aling awit ang may manipis at makapal na tunog sa mga sumusunod:
1. Pag awit ng isahan (manipis)
2. Pagawit ng maramihan sa choir (makapal)
3. Banda ng Musiko (Makapal)
4. Pagtugtog ng solo (manipis)
5. Orchestra (makapal)
Activity no. 2
Tunghayan ang mga bahagi ng awit sa ibaba. Pansinin ang pagkakasulat ng mga
ito. Kilalanin ang pagkakaiba ng pagkasulat at ang maaring tunog nito.
5. APPLICATION
Sounds and colors affect people differently. Show the pupils the pictures of a trumpet,
clarinet, flute and a saxophone. Ask them to imagine the sound and choose a color to
represent each sound. Give a reason for choosing such color.
