Adapting to the Sudden Changes in our Institution

This day, May 5 of 2023, we were asked to watch the FB live that would happen at
10:30am. Our president, Mr. Charlamagne discussed with us PNC and CITech
students’ that would happen next school year. The major points that were presented
was that CITech would no longer exist as a school, but we will merge or should I say
collapse with the PNC-SHS. This caused a lot of intriguing comments amongst the
students, and I could say the same. Our president also said that we would change
the name of our school. Aircons would also be provided next school year, and this
would greatly help the students to focus more and be more comfortable, as they
would no longer have to experience the extreme heat that is prominent in our school.
One thing as well, our president said that they’re trying to build a new building that
would hopefully be done in August of 2023 as this would accommodate a lot more
students.

The main issue that was said was that a lot of fake rumours were spreading amongst
the PNC and CITech community, about CITech not being a school anymore. This is
true, but we would merge with PNC, because of CHED not recognizing us as a
school. Our president also told us that it’s a waste of funds if CITech will still continue
in the future. The evidence that was presented on the power point made a great
impact on us students, as this made the issues clear and made us not worry about
the other problems.

Doing this FB live really made me question the future of our alma mater. I hope that
the future problems that we would face in the near future would also be addressed
like this. Overall, I was satisfied with the changes that we will experience in our next
school year. But I’ll still miss the memories I had with CITech. This might sound
really corny but even though I’ve only been here for a year, I guarantee you that I
enjoyed every hour of it. That is all for my reaction paper. God bless Cabuyao!
