The Church has evolved in the present, and this may have also impacted the Church's
perspective on the Rizal Bill. Similarly, as the Filipino people have grown, so have their
perceptions of Rizal and his beliefs. But even though the Church stands on it, the Rizal Bill in the
1950s was an important part of our history. So, this topic is still relevant. We can learn a lot
about our country's history and more about the history of our religion in the Philippines. The
Rizal Bill, also called House Bill No. 4380, was proposed in the Philippines in the 1950s. The bill
would have required all public and private schools in the country to teach about Jose Rizal's life
and works. The Catholic Church opposed the bill because it posed a danger to its influence and
beliefs. The Church stands on the Rizal Bill in the Philippines in the 1950s. It was a complicated,
controversial topic that dealt with our religion and the history of the Philippines. To understand
our history, we need to know what happened without anyone changing it to benefit
themselves. Once you read more about Rizal's life, you will see that Catholics and priests did
many bad things in the past that may not be acceptable in today's society. This is why Catholics
oppose the spreading of this information. They aim to maintain a positive reputation since a
negative reputation could cause individuals to question their beliefs and impact the youth's
beliefs over the Catholic Church's losing influence among Filipinos. The Church was a dominant
force in Philippine society at the time, and it viewed Rizal's teachings as a threat to its authority
because they were considered anti-Catholic. On the other hand, many people in the Philippines
view Rizal as a hero who represents the virtues of democracy, freedom, and love for their
country. The concepts Rizal expressed in his writings are still applicable in today's world. His
works continue to be a source of motivation for Filipinos as they can open the eyes of the
Filipino people.
