 Read the questions carefully and thoroughly.
 Provide complete and concise answer.
 Manage your time wisely by working on questions that you find easy.

1. Onigiri are traditional Japanese rice balls that have several health benefits. They are
made from cooked rice and then shaped into triangles or cylinders and are often
filled with various ingredients such as fish, vegetables, or pickled plums. The
combination of rice, filling, and seaweed in onigiri offers carbohydrates, protein,
essential nutrients, and dietary fiber.
One of the health benefits of onigiri is its
nutritional content. Rice, as the main
component, is a good source of carbohydrates,
which provide energy for the body. It also
contains essential amino acids, vitamins and
minerals that support overall health. The
fillings in onigiri also provide nutritional value.
For example, the addition of grilled fish provides lean protein and omega-3 fatty
acids, which are beneficial for heart health. Vegetables and pickled plums provide
vitamins, minerals, and dietary fiber, which support digestion and overall well-being.
Due to the popularity of onigiri, the Japanese Government plans to build a triangular
onigiri statue. The statue will be in the shape of a triangular prism with a base length
of 14 meters, a height of the triangle side is 24 meters and a thickness of 10 meters.
If the onigiri statue is to be colored, then how much paint will be needed? (in m2).

2. Getting enough sleep is essential for our health, and using an alarm can help ensure
we wake up on time. Adequate sleep allows our bodies and minds to rest, repair, and
recharge, thus promoting optimal physical and mental health. Using an alarm helps
us create a regular sleep-Getting enough sleep is
essential for our health, and using an alarm can
help ensure we wake up on time. Adequate sleep
allows our bodies and minds to rest, repair, and
recharge, thus promoting optimal physical and
mental health. Using an alarm helps us create a
regular sleep-wake schedule by waking us up at a
specific time each day. This consistency supports our internal body clock, known as
the circadian rhythm, which regulates our sleep and wake cycles.
Alarms serve as a reliable reminder to wake up, especially if we have commitments
or responsibilities that require us to wake up at a certain time. Alarms can help us
stay on track with our daily routine and avoid oversleeping, which can disrupt our
schedule and cause groggy feelings.
Mia wants to gift her friend a pentagon-shaped alarm clock. She plans to wrap it in
wrapping paper. Find the minimum area needed to wrap the alarm if the side length
of the alarm is 7 cm ,the apothem is 3 cm and the thickness is 5 cm .

3. A compost well is a hole in the ground that is used to produce compost naturally. This
process involves incorporating organic matter such as leaves, twigs and kitchen waste
into the well. Then the materials are mixed with the soil and made into piles. Over
the course of weeks or months, microorganisms such as bacteria and worms will feed
on the organic matter and turn it into nutrient-rich compost.The use of compost wells
can also help retain soil moisture and reduce erosion. Soil that is rich in nutrients can
also increase plant growth and crop production. In addition, by using compost wells,
we can also reduce the negative impact of using chemical fertilizers on the
environment and human health.
Mr. Rudi's compost well has the garbage
storage volume of 502,4 m3, with a depth
of and the thickness of the wall is 10 cm.
Because the organic waste he had
exceeded the capacity of his well, he
decided to increase the volume by 20 % .
Determine the number of bricks Mr. Rudi needs to make an additional compost well,
if the bricks has high 5 cm, length 10 cm , width 20 cm ! ( π=3,14 ) (Round up to the
nearest integer)

4. Oxygen cylinders are an item that many people are looking for when Covid-19 attacks
Indonesia. At that time, many Covid-19 patients needed oxygen cylinders. That is
because, when someone is sick, the lungs will not function optimally. Lungs that do
not function optimally, will result in the supply of oxygen to the body will be reduced,
resulting in shortness of breath. That condition causes a person to need oxygen
supply from an oxygen cylinder. Last year when Mrs. Rina was suffering from Covid-
19, she also experienced shortness of breath and needed additional oxygen. Then
her son borrowed an oxygen cylinder from his neighbor who had suffered from
Covid-19. The oxygen cylinder that his son borrowed had a diameter of 22 cm with a
1
height of 143 cm. However, the actual oxygen content is only the size of the oxygen
6
cylinder. Determine the actual oxygen content in the oxygen cylinder in liters.

3a Given:
 Japanese Government plans to build a triangular
prism for onigiri statue
 The base length is 14 meters
 The height of the triangle is 24 meters 3
 Thickness of 10 meters
Asked:
If the onigiri statue will be colored, then how much
paint will be needed? (in m2)
Answer:
With the measurements given in the question, we know
that the question is about the surface area of this
prism. To make it easier, we can give the sketch of the
statue
1a 3

By the sketch we need to find the slant height for

calculating the surface area of triangular prism.We can
use the right triangle,

1a, 2a 3

By triple pythagoras, we can easily know that the slant

height is 25 m. Now, we can calculate the surface area
using formula
1b, 2a, 3b A=bh+ [ ( b +S 1+ S 3 ) × l ] 10
A=14 ×24 + [ ( 14+25+25 ) × 10 ]
A=336+640
A=976
∴ The paint needed for painting the onigiri statue is
- 2 1
976 m .

Asked:
1b Find the mininum wrapping paper needed for wrapping 2
the alarm.
Answer:
First, we need to make an ilustration for easier
understanding,

2a, 1c 2

Where,
a=¿ apothem
l=¿ length
h=¿ height
Now, we can calculate the surface area of the prism,
2b, 1c such as 2
A=5 al+ 5lh
So that, we can substitute the given informations in the
formula
3a, 3b A=( 5× 3 ×7 ) + ( 5 ×7 × 5 ) 10
A=105+175
A=280

 The wall of the well is 10 cm thick
 The bricks are 5 cm high, 10 cm long, 20 cm wide
 π=3,14
Asked:
3a.2 The number of bricks Mr. Rudi needs to make an 3

Answer:
To solve this problem, we need to find the radius
through the volume of the garbage collection first
πr ² t=502,4
⇔ πr ²10=502,4
⇔ πr ²=50,24
50,24
⇔ r ²=

⇔ 100,48=3,14 × 4 ×t
⇔ 100,48=50,24 × t
⇔ t=2m

1a, 2a, 3b.1, Since the well has the thickness 10 cm , so 15

3c.1 r =4 m+10 cm
r =4 m+0,1 m
r =4,1 m
Then we can find the volume of additional well

1. Rainforests are among the most productive ecosystems in the world, and the trees in
rainforests grow very quickly. The trees in the rainforest grow vertically and can reach
great heights, with some species reaching over 60 meters in height. The growth of
trees in the rain forest occurs because of very ideal environmental conditions.
Rainforests have a humid and warm climate all year round, as well as heavy rainfall.
These conditions allow the trees in the rainforest to grow quickly and produce thick
foliage.
In a vast rainforest, grows a tree that has a height of 10 meters. Every year, the tree
produces more and more fruit. The number of fruits produced by the tree in the first
year is 50 fruits. Every year, the amount of fruit produced by the tree increases by
20 % from the amount of fruit produced in the previous year. If each of these fruits
contains a seed that can grow into a new tree, how many trees will grow in the forest
after 5 years?
(Poin: 25)

2. Renewable energy is a resource that can be renewed naturally and is continuously

produced without producing harmful emissions or consuming limited fuels.
Renewable energy includes solar, wind, water, biomass and geothermal. One
example of renewable energy that is becoming increasingly popular is solar panels.
Solar panels are devices designed to capture solar energy and convert it into
electricity. Solar panels consist of solar cells, which are made of semiconductor
materials such as silicon. When sunlight hits the solar cell, the sun's energy is
converted into electricity which can be used to drive electrical equipment.
The main advantage of solar panels is that they do not produce greenhouse gas
emissions or other air pollution during their operation. They also do not need fossil
fuels to generate electricity, which helps reduce dependence on finite resources and
increases energy security. Pak Budi is an investor interested in the latest technology
that can help solve environmental problems. After doing some research, he found a
company that was developing a new technology to generate electrical energy from
solar energy sources in the form of solar panels. Mr. Budi plans to invest IDR
50.000 .000 with 4 % interest per year compunded yearly in the company GreenTech
Innovations. After three years, he found a new company that he thought was more in
line with his vision, this new company was called RenewaGreen Energy. After
consulting with this company, he decided to invest using the return of the investment
in the previous company and was promised a return of investment of IDR 66.986 .551
after three years. Which company is more profitable for Mr. Budi? Explain your
answer.
(Poin: 25)

3. Cycling is a popular sport because it is easy and has many benefits. Some of the
benefits of cycling are that it helps maintain cardiovascular health, strengthens
muscles, and bones. In addition, cycling can reduce stress because when cycling, the
body will produce hormones that can reduce stress, namely the hormones
adrenaline and cortisol.
Seeing the many benefits of cycling, Mr. Hasan, a conglomerate in South Jakarta,
became interested in the sport. Mr. Hasan plans to buy a bicycle with the brand
name Canyon Ultimate CF Evo 10.0 LTD for IDR 200.000 .000 which will be paid off in
an annual annuity of IDR 20.000 .000. If the interest rate per year is 5 %, then
determine the amount of the fifth year installment.
(Poin: 25)

4. A dam is a man-made structure designed to store water in an area. Built over a river
or valley, dams aim to regulate the flow of water, control flooding, supply water for
irrigation, and provide drinking water supply for communities. Dams usually consist
of high, strong walls of concrete or earth, called embankments. The embankment is
designed to withstand the pressure of water from the upper reaches of a river or
valley, creating an artificial reservoir or lake behind it.
In Suryakencana Village, the river is close to rice fields and residential areas. During
the rainy season, the village is often flooded. Of course, this is detrimental to the
residents, so they plan to contribute to building a dam because the government is
not immediately addressing it. They plan to hire a contractor to help them organize
the finances and materials needed. The residents plan to build a dam on the river
near the rice fields, they will build a dam with an area of 4.500 km 2 with an estimated
construction time of 3 months. The villagers have almost all the funds to build the
dam, but because they still need funds to rent some of the heavy equipment needed,
one of the villagers will borrow money from the bank. One machine has a rental price
of IDR 25.000.000, and can complete a dam of 500 km 2 in a month. If the contractor
wants to take a 5-year loan at a bank with an interest rate of 0.2 % per month,
determine the annuity!
