Guidelines and Mechanics

“Self-Talk Photograph Craft”

Instructions:

Roam around the university and capture one most valuable photograph (UMian's
daily life in the university) that can tell a powerful story. On an A4-sized paper,
paste the self-captured picture and briefly explain how you use the process of
selection and omission.

You will be scored based on the following criteria below:

Criteria Description Points

Concept, Idea, and Shows coherency of the concept with a high degree of 15
Visualization originality and sophistication. The idea is well stated
with visual elements and cues.
Creativity/Originality Amazing photograph/project. Well organized, unified 15
meaning, interesting, different, unique approach to the
assignment.

Composition and Design Shows strong internal integrity of the visual elements. 10
Nothing needs to be added or removed - framing is
superb.
Technical Shows mastery in the use of photographic equipment 10
and techniques to attain the assignment parameters.
