Cell Structure and Function Script

So let’s talk about now the Golgi body/ Apparatus, The structure of it, looks like stacked flattened discs,
almost like stacks of oddly shaped pancakes. These are responsible for transporting, modifying, and
packaging protein and lipids. For additional, It’s like an Classroom s in the school because it is where the
students are taught and package physically, mentally, socially, and spiritually.

The other organelle is Vesicle and Vacuole they’re both sac-like organelles that store and
transport materials in the cell.

A Vesicle is a small structure within a cell, consisting of fluid enclosed by a lipid bilayer.
Vesicles form naturally during the processes of secretion (exocytosis), uptake (phagocytosis)
and transport of materials within the cytoplasm. Alternatively, they may be prepared artificially,
in which case they are called liposomes. Vesicles can fuse with the plasma membrane to
release their contents outside the cell. Vesicles can also fuse with other organelles within the
cell.

The Vacuole is essential component of plant cells and it is the storage structure in a cell. A
large central vacuole is a part of vacuole where in regulating the cells concentration of water in
changing environmental conditions, and houses the digestive process. And to we understand
thoroughly what is the function of vacuole let’s have an example. For example is the Cabinet in
the school, I said it because cabinet’s stores books, papers and other stocks needed by the
school.

The Lysosome the structure of it is spherical bodies containing digestive enzymes. It is where
the breakdown or cellular digestion of carbohydrates, fats, and proteins take place. This also
called a cell death controlled (Apoptosis). Additionally it can picture it as Janitor/Maintenance
Team because lysosome they get rid of trashes by cleaning the school premises.

The next is, Peroxisomes, peroxisomes is a membrane-bound cellular organelle that contains
mostly enzymes. The role of it is to breakdown organic molecules by the process of oxidation to
produce hydrogen and peroxide which is then converted into oxygen and water.

The Mitochondria considered as the “power of the cell” are double-membrane organelles
that contain their own ribosomes and DNA (Deoxyribonucleic acid). Mitochondria have an
important role in cellular respiration through the production of ATP (Adenosine Triphosphate),
using chemical energy found in glucose and other nutrients. Mitochondria are also responsible
for generating clusters of iron and sulfur, which are important cofactors of many enzymes.
Picturing it as Canteen because the food served in the canteen gives energy to the students
and teachers.
Move on to the nucleus, nucleus is generally considered the control center of the cell
because it stores all of the genetic instructions for manufacturing proteins. Interestingly, some
cells in the body, such as muscle cells, contain more than one nucleus, which is known as
multinucleated. Example of it if the part of the school is the part of cell, it is Principal of the
school because the principal is the person in authority inside the school especially in terms of
management and decision making.
