    Assessment Method How to Adapt the Assessment Method in DL

    Example: I will send a three-item quiz via text message before the lesson. Based on the
    responses, I will take note of the common misconceptions and clarify them to the

    1. Short Quiz This is integrated in the module to be distributed or I can send it through messenger
    in the class’ group chat as motivation for your upcoming lesson.

    2. Open-Ended This is integrated in the module to be distributed, this is a form of assessment that
    Questions could be done to check what they learned as review or generalization.

    3. Practice Exercises This is integrated in the module to be distributed to further enhance their knowledge
    on the topic, additional practice exercises could be sent through group chat too.

    4. Interview Can be integrated in the module to be distributed under additional activities or


    instruct the learners through texts or messenger to interview a family member’s
    experience related to topics.

    5. KWL Activities Can be integrated in the module to be distributed as a preliminary activity or I can
    post it on text or messenger before a new topic is introduced.

    1. What assessment methods are common among the group members?


    The assessment method common to us are short quiz, open-ended questions, practice
    exercises, interview and KWL activities.
    2. What are the challenges in doing assessment in DL?
    The reliability and validity as to whether or not the learners will really accomplish the tasks
    or the activities given in the module.
    3. Despite the challenges, what opportunities can you and your colleagues explore to make
    assessment doable in DL?
    Communication with parents/learning coaches at home should remain open and
    encouragement of honesty in accomplishing/answering the assessment given to learners.
