About the Role

The role will be within the G SD Digital Process Transformation (DPT) Team as a Business Change/
Transformation Manager reporting to the Head of Digital Operations.
It will focus on all areas for business change (process/people/data) to help deliver the transformation needed
within Digital Initiatives and support the business in other transformation / adoption challenges as required. It
will enable GSD product lines (PL) / partners to be sufficiently prepared for the impact of new change /
transformation that will be heading their way. Including such topics as; understanding and supporting the
change, acquiring required skills to support new business tools / systems, and adjusting business processes /
data and working practices to take on new solutions.
The candidate must have a very strong background and relevant experience in change management /
Transformation and communications. They will be required to interview stakeholders at a senior level and not
be afraid to challenge the “status quo” at a senior level when challenges are presented (which would normally
be seen as total blockers).

Responsibilities

● Defining the business change approaches /strategies for product lines / projects / tool roll outs / Data
transformation in DPT;
● Creating business change management plans to maximize user adoption and minimize resistance for
IT initiatives (e.g. communication plan, training plan);
● Performing change activities during project implementation and ensuring the change is sustained in
later phases (e.g. training efforts, change progress monitoring);
● Identifying anticipated resistance, and preparing risk mitigation tactics (and drive the delivery of them
where applicable);
● Ensuring the consistency of the business change management approach and activities across the
different PL’s, value statements IT initiatives;
● Creation and management of the change and communications plans for specific initiatives;
● Providing oversight and support within the project delivery area, including delivering communications
plans at project and board level;
● Liaising with and coaching project / embedded teams member to conduct business change
management activities within the project lifecycle;
● Drafting, editing and reviewing related change and communications work products such as, but not
limited to: key messages, resistance management plans, communications management plans and
sponsor roadmaps.

Requirements

● Background in manufacturing / repair / Field service / project management, business transformation;


● Business experience with energy sector is preferred but not essential;
● Understanding of business processes (general), business transformation challenges;
● Experience of process mapping, data mapping and supporting / leading mapping workshops;
● Understanding of how people go through change and the change process;
● Experience of large-scale business change / transformation efforts (ideally with a digitisation focus) 3 +
years or 3 Transformations;
● Experience and knowledge of business change management principles, methodologies and tools;

● Proven ability to influence others to gain their support for change;


● Proven ability to manage change across numerous and diverse teams, locations, time zones, cultures;
● Ability to engage and manage technical and non-technical stakeholders (not essential but preferred;
● Experience delivering business change and technology (user) adoption management in a project
delivery environment;
● Experience and ideally practitioner qualification in PROSCI / ADKAR methodologies (equivalent);
● Business change management certification;
● Experience of a PRINCE2/waterfall / Project Delivery environment;
● Experience of using Agile development methodologies;
● A team player with an ability to work collaboratively and positively motivate self and others;
● Exceptional English communication skills, both written and verbal (multi languages would be plus);
● Professional presentation with strong people skills with all levels across the business;
● Diplomatic and persuasive with an ability to handle difficult conversations and confidently manage
senior stakeholders.

Availability/Travel

● Start of Assignment: Immediately / as soon as possible;


● Some overlap with US time zones for working hours (other hours may be required for other global
locations with advanced discussion);
● Travel will be required (< 10%);
● Possibility of remote and office, hybrid work environment.

Project Duration: long term
