months from 13th March to 8th May,2023 owing to attend a seminar and workshop on “The
impact of air pollution on our environment” conducted by Jadavpur University.
To describe, the impact of air pollution on our environment is significant and far-reaching.
For example, climate change, acid rain, ozone depletion, respiratory problems, biodiversity
loss etc. It affects not only human health but also the biodiversity of our planet. The need for
sustainable and clean energy sources is more important now than ever before. It is essential
that individuals and government work together to reduce air pollution and protect our
environment for future generations.
Appearing in the internal assessments is crucial to complete my undergraduate degree. For

Respected Sir,
I would like to express my concern through the columns of your esteemed daily on the chaos
created by excessive use of loudspeakers.
The constant blaring of loudspeakers during this crucial period has become a major
distraction for the students who are preparing for their exams. The noise distracts them
resulting difficulty in concentrating on their studies and has a negative impact on their
performance. The problem has become more severe in recent times, and causing a severe
deal of distress and anxiety to students who are already under pressure to perform well in
their exams. The use of loudspeakers not only affects the concentration of students but also
leads to health issues like headaches, insomnia, and increased stress levels. Moreover, the
noise pollution caused by these loudspeakers is a serious concern for the residents, especially
the elderly and children.
Therefore, I request the concerned authorities to take strict measures to control the use of
loudspeakers during examination days. I hope that the authorities will take necessary steps to
address this problem soon.
