Activity 01: Introduction

Answer succinctly: If you will be given the chance to solve any existing problem in the
world, what will it be and why? Outline the steps you will take to be able to solve it.
- If I will be given the chance to solve any problem in the world, that would be the Global
Warming. Because of the Global Warming, Increased heat, drought and insect outbreaks,
all linked to climate change, have increased wildfires. Declining water supplies, reduced
agricultural yields, health impacts in cities due to heat, and flooding and erosion in coastal
areas are additional concerns. In order to solve this situation, we, as individual, we must
make a change and take actions. There’s no other way, if it doesn’t start with the people.
The goal is simple. Carbon dioxide is the climate’s worst enemy. It’s released when oil,
coal, and other fossil fuels are burned for energy, the energy we use to power our homes,
cars, and smartphones. By using less of it, we can curb our own contribution to climate
change while also saving money. Here are some possible effective ways that we can take in
order to solve this problem.

1. Power your home with renewable energy.

2. Weatherize, weatherize, weatherize.
3. Invest in energy-efficient appliances.
4. Reduce water waste.
5. Buy better bulbs.
6. Drive a fuel-efficient vehicle.
