RADIOLOGIST’S REPORT

CRANIAL CT NON CONTRAST

TECHNIQUE:
Serial axial non contrast studies were done.

FINDINGS:
Small area of hypodensity 21noted in the right external capsule.
Subtle area of hypodensity noted in the anterior limb of left internal capsule. There are
diffuse subtle hypodensities seen in the periventricular deep white matter suggestive of
chronic ischemic changes. Moderate atrophic changes are noted in both hemispheres as
evidenced by prominent sulci, cisterns, cerebellar foliae and ventricles.
The subarachnoid spaces and cerebellopontine angle areas on both sides are within
normal limits. There are no signs of increased intracranial pressure.
Sella, Parasellar structures and pituitary are normal.
The orbital contents and Paranasal sinuses are normal.
The skull bones are normal

IMPRESSION:
RIGHT EXTERNAL CAPSULE ACUTE ISCHEMIC INFARCT
SUBTLE ANTERIOR LIMB LEFT INTERNAL CAPSULE LACUNAR ISCHEMIC INFARCT
WHITE MATTER NEURODEGENERATIVE SMALL VESSEL DISEASE
MODERATE BRAIN ATROPHY
