About Our Project


Introduction Malaysia is a country with a diverse population, including a
significant Indian community. However, the Indian community, particularly the
youth, faces several challenges in terms of education, employment, and social
inclusion. To address these issues, the Malaysian Indian Next Generation Youth
Lab (MINGY) proposes a centralized leadership training boot camp for young
Indian leaders across the country. This concept paper outlines the details of the
boot camp, including its objectives, program structure, evaluation criteria, and
budget.

Objectives The primary objective of the boot camp is to develop a new


generation of young Indian leaders who can take charge of youth clubs across
the country. The program aims to equip them with the necessary leadership skills
and knowledge to manage and govern these clubs successfully. Additionally, the

Implementation
Of Project
Program Structure The boot camp will be a 14-series program that will
take place across Malaysia. The program aims to involve 5,000 youths
nationwide. The program structure is as follows:

Application and Selection: Interested candidates will submit their


applications online or through the MINGY website. The applications will be
reviewed, and selected candidates will be notified via email..

Orientation: An orientation program will be held to introduce the


participants to the program structure, objectives, and expectations.

Leadership Training: The boot camp will include leadership training sessions on
topics such as communication, team building, conflict resolution, decision
making, and time management.

Youth Club Governance: Participants will learn the process of governing


youth clubs from scratch. The sessions will cover topics such as club
formation, goal setting, club administration, and fundraising.

Mentorship: Each participant will be assigned a mentor who will provide


guidance and support throughout the program.

Field Visits: Participants will visit established youth clubs to gain practical
experience and learn from their experiences.

Inter-Club Competitions: Participants will compete in inter-club


competitions to test their leadership skills and knowledge.

Evaluation and Graduation: Participants will be evaluated throughout the


program based on their performance in the training sessions, field visits, and
competitions. Those who successfully complete the program will graduate
with a certificate of completion.
Evaluation Criteria Participants will be
evaluated based on the following criteria:

Attendance: Participants are expected to attend all sessions and


complete all assignments.

Participation: Participants are expected to actively participate in


all sessions and contribute to discussions and group activities.

Performance: Participants will be evaluated based on their


performance in the training sessions, field visits, and competitions.

Leadership: Participants will be evaluated based on their leadership


skills, including communication, teamwork, decision making, and
problem-solving.
