Here is an example of audio content on
their website as they appear to have a
podcast.
EMPIRE PRINT

One of empires magazine covers includes a female Black actor(with CGI)

which shows its inclusiveness instead of representing male white characters
that would be deemed as old fashioned.

The colour pallet is reflective of the film and the theme of water, this is to
make the magazine more appealing and seem more specialist and film
specific.

The typography is a mix of sans-serif and serif with the majority being sans-
serif with the exemption of 'the way of water' which represents the films
name. Avatar is in sans-serif as it’s the franchise name so its left big and
bold.

The target audience of the magazine appears to be more directed at avatar

fans as there is little mention of other films as it focus' on avatar itself.

MODERN GARDENS
Another Bauer media consumer product is modern gardens, a magazine that is aimed at
an audience of want-to-be gardeners that hope to transform their gardens despite
lacking in skill and experience.
MODERN
GARDENS
PRINT
Modern gardens target audience tends to be middle-
aged people hoping to transform their gardens,
because of this they have made use of positive
stereotypes as seen by 'throw a party around the
firepit' which hints at the activities that such an age
group would take part it.

The use of colour is predominantly green to give the

nature feel and act specialized to the genre it covers.

The typography used is majorly sans-serif which

addresses the softer content in that it is but a
gardening magazine and nothing more complex than
that.
MODERN
GARDENS
WEBSITE
The colour pallet of the online website of the
magazine is dominated by pink which is
stereotypically a feminine colour- this is used
to attract older woman that are expected to
be visiting these sites and the more old-
fashioned stereotypical approach of
marketing could work on them.

The website does not contain any audio or

audio-visual content which could represent
the dated topic it covers or the lack of
popularity which leads to lack of website
development and maintenance.
