Minutes of the meetings on the involvement of stakeholders headed by the school planning team (SPT)

with signed attendance.

Preliminaries

The faculty staff and stakeholders of Silangan Elementary School held its Annual Implementation Plan
last April 26 headed by the school’s School Planning team. Its main objectives is to discuss plans and
strategies in implementing different projects led by different competitive teachers of Silangan ES. The
meeting was held at the school’s covered court and attended by the teachers, stakeholders and the
school head.

The program started with the prayer that was led by Ms. Hazel Mabilin and followed by the Philippine
National Anthem conducted by Mr. Ricardo Tajonera. The school principal, Mrs. Anamarie Jabat
expressed her welcoming remarks with enthusiasm and warm thoughts. She was very positive that the
projects that are about to be implemented will give the school more pride and victory. The checking of
attendance was done by the very energetic teacher from Grade 6, Mr. Fidel Gorospe, which was
participated by the attendees.

Meeting Proper

The presentation of each project started from presenting the projects that focuses on Accessibility
which main objective is to increase number of tracked targeted pupils from 70 to 80 by the end of
school year. First was the PROJECT ELITE by Ma’am Lyra Alabo, the project focuses on empowering
learners thru inculcating the senses of worth and belongingness to education, thus the name “ELITE”.
Ma’am Alabo discussed that learners will be more motivated to learn if they feel the sense of
belongingness in the environment and so peer tutorial and utilization of modern technology must be
provided. This way, learners will feel the trend and be more interested to learn. PROJECT FIND, headed
by Ma’am Hazel Mabilin plays an important part on the school and the community as it focuses on
finding all individual learners to be nurtured and developed. Ma’am Mabilin planned to make sure that
the school coordinates with Barangay officials in registering all children aged 5 years old in the
community. The next one to present was Ma’am Nelia Tinaan, the leader of PROJECT NUTS which
focuses on elevating the BMI’s of 30% SWs and Ws to Normal by the end of school year. Ma’am Tinaan,
put emphasis that the supplementary feeding of the students under SW and W can help in elevating the
BMI.

The next set of projects to discuss was those under Quality which plans to improve the school
achievement rate by 3% by the end of school year. To make this possible, several projects were
presented that are headed by the teachers. First to present was the PROJECT CLAP which is being led by
Ma’am Damayo. The project will focus on improving comprehension skill among learners so a pre-test,
vocabulary drills in English and a summative assessment weekly will be implemented to ensure that
retention of lessons and competencies may be achieved. Ma’am Basilisa Momongan was the next one to
present for her PROJECT MEDAL, which main objectives is to recognize deserving pupils by giving medals
and certificates quarterly. The basis of honor pupils will be from the evaluation result of the diagnostic
test, remediation and post-test. Of course, if there is a project for those who are excelling in academic,
there is also a project intended for those who need more assistance especially when it comes to reading.
Thus, the PROJECT HOPE is made. Ma’am Ronalin Galvan discussed that in order to enhance the reading
skill of the pupils, the educators must allot a time wherein proper guidance and support should be given
to those pupils whose reading level is at risk. With regards to this, teaching of phonics and weekly
monitoring of pupils must be done. The PROJECT COC headed by Ma’am Jillian GAN mainly discussed the
importance of research in improving the quality of service in education. She plans to give proper
orientation and support to teachers who will be participating on the research project that the school
may get benefit from. While modern technology is evident these days, it is paramount that the schools
adapt on this trend and must not only be applied by regular pupils but also to those who have special
needs. Therefore, the PROJECT E-LSEN was born and made possible by the leader Ma’am Lucita
Jabungan. This project is to increase the percentage of 5 learned skills of SPEd learners through the use
of ICT. The project aims to increase learning skill by 10% through sourcing equipment like HP Compaq
core i3 and the use of UDL (Universal Design for Learning). The sixth project under the Quality category
is the PROJECT SWAT headed by the master teacher 1, Ma’am Susana Pulido. This project aims to retool
the instructional skills of the teachers by providing SLAC school based training, INSET and ICT training
that may be beneficial for the teachers in providing quality and efficient teaching-learning process.
Ma’am Pulido also discussed the PROJECT METRI afterwards which is the last project on the said
category. She presented the pre-implementation of this project in order to achieve the increase of
performance in the school achievement test in Mathematics with the range of 2%-5% by the end of
school year.

Finally, the meeting transitioned to the last category of projects which is the Governance. These projects
will aim to achieve 100% procurement of IDs, test papers, checklists and other forms for pupils outputs
and maintain school facilities. First in line was the PROJECT SQUAS, headed by Ma’am Generica Tupaz.
Ma’am Tupaz ensured that all orders to the annual procurement plan will be included in the report
along with the minutes of the meeting, pictures and attendance to achieve transparency and quality
service with regards to the school supplies. Next was the PROJECT CRESCEL which is discussed by the
school Brigada Coordinator, Mr. Alfeo Jes Gorospe. He discussed the plan on his mind to increase the
percentage of the stakeholders participation by 20% and the different construction project that involves
the cooperation and support of the stakeholders. The third one was the PROJECT SLAB BY Mr. Ricardo
Tajonera, one of the most hardworking teachers of SES. Mr. Tajonera emphasized the importance of
putting shoproom in schools to increase quality learning. He was able to present from the planning,
repairing and maintaining of the needed shoproom as well as other physical facilities of the school.
Lastly, the PROJECT AWARE led by Mr. Abram Byron Somera was presented during the meeting. Mr.
Somera laid out his plans to reduce the presence of hazardous phases in every classroom and all school
facilities by 30%. He made sure that the participation of both the teachers and parents will be evident to
make this project a success.
Ratification

The program ended by a closing remarks given by the GPTA President, Ann Maragarete Lo, followed by a
commitment song by Ma’am Karla Esteba. A prayer of thanks was then led by Ma’am Ronalin Galvan
and finally, the words of adjournment by Mr. Alfeo Jes Gorospe.
