Hello, this will be my  5th year in education. I started my career in education as a teachers assistant helping in infant thru Pre-K
rooms. This is where I confirmed my love for teaching and wanted to do more. I started with TISD as a special education aide and helped with
inclusion for 3 years. Being able to work with students of all ages and at different education levels was challenging but the end result was
wonderful. Over this year I was asked to help with student support and fell in love. After returning back to work after having my son, I was
given an opportunity to work full time with our behavior team and I knew this was the path I wanted to follow and work in.   This will be my
first year as a behavior teacher and I cannot wait! Building relationships with these students, helping them grow and be successful is my
ultimate goal.

My Favorites:
My Family:
Drink – Diet Coke I have four kids, (15,13,9 and 1) They keep

any other way! I have been married to my

reeses dogs, (Diego & Cowboy.) We are huge sports
Hobby – softball/cheer mom fans and love our Texas Longhorns and
Dallas Cowboys! We love to play games,

Food – Chick Fila, Mexican together.
I love my family very much and they mean
Scents - Vanilla the world to me. I love to travel and hope
one day to retire and move back to
California.

Technology Tools:
In our classroom this year we will use several different technology tools like a classroom calendar, this will help
keep students informed on what we will be doing in class and also let them know of any changes ahead of time. We
will be creating digital content for students to use such as video journals or blogs. This will allow students to record
answers to questions, ask questions or just reflect on their day or topic. We will also use video/multimedia lessons
and presentations to help students when it comes to critical thinking.

Digital Literacy:
We would focus and discuss digital citizenship and the importance of cyber bullying. We would focus on the
literary element of cyberbullying because it is important for students especially, those who are about to enter
middle school, to learn that there are consequences for cyber bullying.

Active Engagement:
If our classroom was to go virtual these active engagements, would be put into place, the use of riddles or
games for students to participate in while we wait for the class to log on, incentives for those that log on,
break out rooms, virtual field trips and the program Demos. This program allows for assign quizzes,
assignments, progress monitoring and collect data.

Classroom Rules & Consequences:

The rules of our classroom are as followed:
We will create a social contract that will be signed and copy sent home to parents as well to sign and acknowledge. We will be
on time and respectful at all times, especially when someone is sharing. We do not allow any bullying of any kind and no
cursing will be allowed.
Consequences will be lunch detention, miss out on recess time, think sheet, removal from class and a parent phone call. If
problems continue a conference will be made with admin awareness and support.
