Introduction

“The global finances of the 21st century have highlighted the challenges faced by economies around
the world, regardless of whether they are considered as developed or developing countries”
(Epstein, 2005).

This paper will analyze the effects that prices have increased, and how these effects have affected
the company Vuela Compañía de Aviación, S.A.P.I. de C.V., as well as how the confinement was
affected by the Covid-19 pandemic and the war between Russia and Ukraine.

The company that we will analyze is Vuela Compañía de Aviación, S.A.P.I. de C.V. better known as
VOLARIS, since it presented a capital loss as a result of the high levels of volatility and inflation
experienced by the Mexican market. Therefore, we will prepare an investment portfolio that
contains various assets of the indicated company, in order to obtain higher returns by diversifying
the investment, integrating different companies and sectors. Additionally, the company wants to
know what would be the minimum risk portfolio and the maximum return, this in order to be able
to compare it with an investment in the debt market. In the same way, propose strategies that can
work in the eradication of disability, helping you to improve and present a positive change to your
own economy.

• Concessionaire Vuela Compañía de Aviación, S.A.P.I. de C.V., better known as Volaris, is the
ultra-low-cost airline with flights in Mexico, the United States, and Costa Rica, Guatemala
and El Salvador. At Volaris we offer cheap airline tickets to develop the market, offering
quality customer service and an extensive choice of products.
• We took off in 2003 when the investment funds Discovery Americas I and Columbia Equity
Partners joined forces with TACA Airlines to integrate a new ultra-low-cost Mexican airline
that would offer the experience of flying to a greater number of Mexicans.
• We took to the skies for the first time on March 13, 2006 with the inaugural flight from
Toluca to Tijuana.
• On July 12 of the same year, the World Bank, through its financial arm in Latin America,
granted us a financing of 40 million dollars, which in turn consolidated a total investment of
130 million dollars.

Ashes from the Popocatépetl volcano suspend flights in
Mexico City for almost 6 hours
Mexico City, May 20 (EFE).- The International Airports of Mexico City (AICM) and Felipe Ángeles
(AIFA) suspended their operations for almost six hours this Saturday due to the presence of ash from
the Popocatépetl volcano, which forced them to carry out track cleaning work.

The AICM issued an announcement on its official Twitter account and noted that the temporary
closure began at 4:25 a.m. local time (10:25 a.m. GMT).

Later, the airport of the Mexican capital "Benito Juárez" reported that the cessation of activities
would be extended for two more hours, since the delays were headed by reviews and cleaning of
runways and taxiways.

However, the closure of operations lasted longer than scheduled and until 10:30 local time (16:30
GMT), six hours after its interruption, it was indicated that operations had resumed.

"After removing the volcanic ash, checking the runways and verifying favorable wind conditions, we
resumed takeoff and landing operations starting at 10:00 a.m.," the air terminal reported.

Aviation companies, such as Aeroméxico, also indicated that their operations were "totally
suspended."
