Cyberbullying is the use of digital-communication tools (like the Internet and cell phones) to make another
person feel angry, sad, or scared. Online bullying is like in-person bullying in two key ways. It s done on purpose,
and it tends to happen more than once.Examples of cyberbullying include sending hurtful texts or instant
messages, posting embarrassing photos or video on social media and spreading mean rumors online or with cell
phones. No, I don t think cyberbully should be banned. Cyberbullying happens around the world every day, but it
s hard to charge someone for it because it s difficult to find out who that person really is. Also, you will be
wasting a lot of time and money chasing after them. Most cyberbullies aren t criminals. They just feel good about
making others feel bad. It is up to the people to ignore or feel upset by the comments. For example, there was a
student who was invited to perform a poem on RTHK. Afterwards, a lot of people said they did not like his
performance. Others said he did great. That student can choose to read the comments about his performance,
or ignore them. The only type of preventive measure that can be taken is creating an environment that promotes
the cultivation of good mental health and acceptance of others. If students continue to fail to understand their
own emotional trauma, then there will continue to be cyber bullies. There is little that can be done to intervene a
would-be cyber bully. The best "punishment that can be bestowed is a psychiatric mental evaluation, as opposed
to legal disciplinary actions that fail to get to the root of the student s problems. A focus on rehabilitation rather
ensures the root of the problem has been found and the student can begin to live a long and fruitful life and
positively impact the lives of those around them.
