By analyzing the ‘Sunday times’ newspaper on 09th June, 16th June & 23rd June we identified that
different kind of vacancies were published. Basically we categorized those vacancies as follows:
Most of the vacancies were published in the newspapers within the whole three weeks. Most of
the vacancies were focused on the commercial sector. For the most executive level vacancies
were required ,a recognized university degree or fully professional qualifications related to
relevant post. The age limit for the executive level vacancies should not be less than 25 years &
not more than 50 years.
But for the lower level vacancies, partly qualifying the professional courses were sufficient. The
age limit for the lower level vacancies should be not less than 19 years & not more than 23 years.
Also 1-3 years working experiences were required as additional qualification. Most of the
vacancies required secondary level education (GCE O/L & GCE A/L) as the educational
qualifications.
Most of the vacancies mentioned the tasks, duties, responsibilities & skills which are related to
the each vacancy.
In addition to the communication skills, leadership skills, team spirits were required as soft
skills. Salary doesn’t mention in any vacancy. Salary can be negotiable.
In some vacancies they are conduct general knowledge test, performance test & analytical skill
tests to select the most appropriate candidate. Most of the companies mentioned a brief
introduction about their company in most of the vacancies. HR manager was the person who
should responsible for the every vacancy which published in the news paper. All the candidates
should report to the HR manager of the relevant company.
BEST FIVE ADVERTISEMENTS IN EACH CATEGORY
Use attractive phrases and terms to motivate the candidate to applying the post.
Graphical shapes, pictures and symbols which are unique to their company. So the
viewers can easily recognize the company without looking the advertisement.
Have published more than half of page in the news paper.
