BNP PARIBAS
Position Purpose
Reporting to the Head of Trade Syndications APAC, this position will primarily be responsible for
the distribution of all trade financing originated by BNP Paribas, with a particular focus on
funded/unfunded basis.
Responsibilities
Direct Responsibilities
• Support the origination and lead the distribution of all trade financing in APAC with a primary
funded/unfunded basis.
• While the emphasis is on transactions originated within Asia, there will also be close
cooperation with TIS Paris to support transactions originated via BNPP global network by tapping
our APAC investor base, and vice-versa.
• Maintain close interaction with internal stakeholders (e.g. Commodities Trade Finance, Global
Trade Services, Transaction Banking Group, FIG and Coverage), to understand their
requirements, market our capabilities (e.g. regular market updates and pipeline meetings), and
• Develop and maintain relationships with other relevant internal departments (e.g. Risk IM,
Credit Risk, Operations, etc) to ensure smooth execution of all syndication mandates.
• Develop and maintain our global investor base including multilateral agencies (ADB/IFC), as
well as working closely with LMFS (regional & global) to tap on their knowledge and investor
• Gather secondary market intelligence - market capacity, pricing trend, new product /
• Negotiate and execute legal documentation, primarily Master Risk Participation Agreement
(“MRPA”) with new bank investors, with the support of regional Legal or external legal counsel,
• Ensure smooth execution and transaction settlement including performing KYC checks on
potential investors.
• Perform all required regular internal/external reporting, and maintain transaction records
including but not limited to DebtDomain, call reports and deal spreadsheets.
• Support senior salespeople in datamining, research, preparation of info memo, syndication
• To lead/support any regional or global special projects involving TS APAC.
Contributing Responsibilities
• Understanding of trade financing, and good knowledge of trade finance products and risk
• Highly numerate, with the ability and experience to understand trade and structured financing
transactions.
• Good knowledge and experience in distributing trade and loan assets with a strong regional
• Business acumen, commercial instinct and an ability to identify opportunities. Enjoys working

KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES
Perform various processing functions in related to Middle Office
Operations across Trades, Corporate Actions, Accounting or any other
team as assigned

Work with Customer Service Officer to investigate customer queries
and issues ensuring customer satisfaction
Initiate and streamline process relating to controls, productivity and
regional service enhancements
COMPLIANCE RESPONSIBILITIES
Ensure documentation exists for any client-specific procedures and
complete timely reviews per policy
Ensuring 100% adherence to SOC1, procedures, policies and
guidelines
Ensure all operational controls are observed by the team and where
opportunity exist, improve to reduce overall risk exposure

QUALIFICATIONS / EXPERIENCE REQUIRED
Degree in Business / Finance / Accounting or related field
1 years’ experience in Securities Operations or Banking Operations
