I) GROUP REPORT (20%)

WHAT ARE THE IMPACTS OF COVID19 ON THE ECONOMIC SECTORS IN MALAYSIA.
DISCUSS THE IMPACTS AND STRATEGIES TO SOLVE.
(Students are allowed to choose ONE topic of Malaysian economy from Chapter 4 until
Chapter 7, different chapter for ALL GROUP)- each class will have FIVE groups that
consists of 4 to 5 members.
Chapter 4 - Agriculture Sector
Chapter 5 - Secondary Sector (Industrial and Construction Sector)
Chapter 6 -Tertiary Sector (Public and Private Sector - Finance and Banking)
Chapter 6 - Private Sector - Tourism
Chapter 7 - Foreign Sector (FDI, Foreign Exchange, Balance of Trade)

Tourism Sector (background)
2.0 Content 1 – “Impacts of COVID 19 on MALAYSIA Tourism Sector -depending on
which sector you choose” (3 points-minimum)
ex: GDP of tourism decline (add Table/Figures of GDP)(CITED -source)
ex: Unemployment increases among the tourism workers. (add Table/Figures)(source)
ex: Tourism Companies Closed Down. (add Table/Figures)(source)
3.0 Content 2 - Strategies to solve (BUDGET PENJANA or any of BUDGET RELEASED
DURING COVID 19)(3 points -minimum)
Ex: GDP decline (Strategies implemented by the government -Penjana/PEMULIH?
Budget 2022)
Ex: Unemployment ( strategies to help those who are unemployed)
Ex: Tourism Companies closed down (strategies to help the tourism Companies)
4.0 Conclusions (Summarise the entire report)

Sources - news paper, articles about the topics reported, grafics, diagram, picture, tables & etc.
Can be multi sources from books, magazines, internet (Former website eg:Economic Planning
Unit, Bank Negara Malaysia, Department of Statistics and etc.) and should be listed in the
reference section using APA format.

GUIDELINES FOR REPORT PREPARATION

1. Report should be computer typed, using font type ‘Arial’, size 11, justify, 1.5 spacing.
2. For cover: Please make sure to type the details including title of the report, groups
member’s name, matric numbers, lecturers name, program, date of submission & any
relevant items.
3. Ouriginal Report - less than 30%.

ii) GROUP PRESENTATION (20%)

On line presentation (Full marks: 30 marks)

Online presentation will be within 10-15 minutes. Student are required to use their creativity in
performing the assignment from their group members. Online Presentation Week 14*

Student can refer to Rubric Report and Rubric presentation for details.
