Main Goal: By the end of this lesson students will be able to talk about clothes and public
services. They will also be able to talk about some unlucky evens.

Specific goals:
● Review the previous vocabulary
● Encourage students to speak with each other
● Talk about unlucky events
● Add new words to the vocabulary

Materials and resources: Zoom, Google meet, breakout classes, BLUE SKIES 2, Slides.

Procedures Time
● 5 minutes for students to arrive. ● 5 min
● T will start the class by doing the hanging man. T used this to review ● 15min
some vocabulary, using the main subject of each word and number of
characters as a clue. S should spell the remaining letters after guessing
the word.
● T will follow by asking Ss to answer page 78, on BLUE SKIES 2, so we ● 20min
can start to talk about unlucky events.
● We are going to answer the activity on page 90, to talk about public ● 15min
services. ● 35min
● Then T will separate them in breakout rooms and they will choose one of
this places to produce a conversation they think would happen there.
When we get back to the class, they will present their production to their ● 15min
classmates.
● T is going to give a general review of what they said. Pointing out some
things that do not follow the grammar, but letting it be clear that if they
were understood their english served its purpose. If needed, T will ● 20min
explain some subjects again.
● T will give them the link to this activity:

talk about clothes. T will talk about the variation of these words in ● 10min
different countries and ask if they have any doubts after the correction.
● T will talk about their process evaluation, erase their doubts, give some
feedback and remember what they still can produce on or next two
classes to the end of the semester.
Asynchronous class 70min
● Find a short video or text about things we could/should do for the
environment, write your opinion about what you could understand of it and link
the video/text. Upload the doc. to Google Classroom.

Evaluation: qualitative evaluation based on student’s engagement on activities. The professor


evaluation is based on students’ answers to the activities and explanations and is open to students’
direct feedback while in class.
