7 The way we look

First of all, the genes are the most important because they bring heritage to our live on a daily
basis. In sequence comes our parents, they are the ones who try to show us what kind of
behaviour are the most correct, politically correct, to each situation. After, the education is
fundamental to define many aspects to who we are. In fourth place our friends display a tone
of conducts for each kind of circumstances even them being good or bad. Follwing I chose the
country we live in due to the influence of native rules and regulations. On six place I opted the
language we speak, since I have been living in two countries in fifty years time, and many
grammar terms and idioms they manifest actions regarding people and conditions to certain
decision making on way of acting. The last one, the way we look, influences concerning the
body fit, the clothes we dress, they tell us that impacts our relationship with others.

The article mentions genes and the way we look

3 Read the Strategy:

1 The writer starts with a quote to engage the reader’s interest. The quote is surprising and challenges the
reader’s assumptions about the topic.
2 Marinda had to make a difficult decision about her dying mother’s face being used in a transplant. She
might have questioned how she would cope with a stranger having her mother’s face, and whether her
mother would have wanted it.
3 Paragraph 2 asks: ‘Could a person really be themselves wearing somebody else’s skin?’ The writer
answers by giving examples of people who have had difficult experiences after receiving an organ
donation, e.g. depression, nightmares, refusal to look at the body part. The writer discusses the fear that
the donor’s personality could take control of the person receiving
the transplant.
