Assignment Statement
Show how you will apply the foundation of the modern management in your
organization.
Unfortunately, my organization follow classic management approach but trying
to apply modern management approach in new departments.
So, we have the chance to know the difference between two approaches,
advantage and disadvantage for each one.
Let me share with you my experience as through my working experience in my
organization I worked in two different department one follow classic approach
and other follow the modern one.

Modern Management foundation:


1. Quantitative analysis and tools.
Using IT tool very helpful especially while dealing with large amount of
data, as it makes systematic analysis help in taking correct decision.
We are using CRM application where we save all investors – who deal
with us- data, concerns, sectors they want to invest, and their visit data.
Of course, these stored data help us a lot as follows: -
 Knows attractive sectors of investment.
 Know common difficulties face the investors in Egypt.
 Knows departments have issues in communication with customers.
 Easily find solutions for problem as while facing a problem, we
search on system for a problem with a similar situation and how
we can solve it.

On the other hand, classic approach department, we used to have


problem in collecting investors data also we didn`t have a history
for the investor and problem faced previously.
2. Systems view of organization.
To ensure the success for the CRM, we had to give permission to almost
all department depend on its use.

That facilitate the communication between departments, which makes the


group of departments who used the CRM (sub system) a flat organization
(Open system).

on the other hand, classic approach departments have difficulty in


communication that result long time in decision making.

3. Contingency thinking.
Facing the same problem, a lot and every time we are trying to solve it in
a better way that makes different ways to solve the same problem.
All ways lead to solved problem but each way has different technique.

4. Commitment to quality and performance.


Using CRM help us to improve the service we provide to investors (our
customers) as follows: -
 Focus on places on weakness in organization.
 Help investors making suggestions to develop the service to suit
his needs.

On the classic approach we hade a difficulty in defining the weakness,


so it considered impossible to improve the quality for our service.

5. Knowledge management and learning organization.


Modern approaches departments always searching for new technology to
facilitate and improve the service they provide.
_ Tireless researches on ways or technology improving provided
service.
_ Sharing information with other departments helps decision-makers
make the appropriate decision, so that all aspects of the topic are
clear.
_ Divide working platform to teams makes completion of tasks
better.
_ Each team member has to have the enough empowerment that lead
to better participation in accomplishing tasks.

6. Evidence based management.


Evidence-based management is the practice of making managerial and
people-related decisions with the use of critical thinking and the best
available evidence. 
We can now take appropriate decision as long as we have enough data.
