ON THIS OCCASION, I WILL INTRODUCE A NEW PRODUCT INNOVATION THAT WILL BE DESIGNED
BASED ON THE NEEDS AND UTILIZATION OF NATURAL RESOURCES THAT EXIST IN OUR
ENVIRONMENT, NAMELY THE KERINCI REGENCY AREA AND KOTA SUNGAI PENUH.
CINNAMON IS A SPICE FOUND IN INDONESIA AND HAS MANY BENEFITS. SPECIFICALLY IN JAMBI
PROVINCE, CINNAMON IS ONE OF THE FIVE LEADING COMMODITIES BESIDES RUBBER, PALM OIL,
DEEP COCONUT AND COFFEE. KERINCI REGENCY IS ONE OF THE LARGEST CINNAMON-
BUT SO FAR THE PEOPLE OF KERINCI REGENCY HAVE ONLY SOLD CINNAMON DIRECTLY TO
WAREHOUSES IN THE FORM OF DRY SKIN OR RAW MATERIALS WITHOUT ANY INNOVATION
EFFORTS, BESIDES THAT THE SELLING PRICE OF CINNAMON BARK AT THE FARMER LEVEL HAS
DECREASED. MOST PEOPLE ONLY KNOW HOW TO PROCESS CINNAMON BY SELLING IT, EVEN
CINNAMON HAS HIGH POTENTIAL, BUT ITS UTILIZATION IS STILL NOT OPTIMAL. THIS
ECONOMIC VALUE AND HIGHER PROFITS, BECAUSE CINNAMON BARK CONTAINS ESSENTIAL OIL,
STARCH, GUM RESIN, TANNINS, CELLULOSE, CALCIUM OXALATE, AND OTHER INGREDIENTS
WHICH, WHEN UTILIZED TO THE FULLEST, ARE LIKELY TO PROVIDE MORE PROMISING
PROSPECTS AND HELP IMPROVE THE COMMUNITY'S ECONOMY. THE MAIN INGREDIENT IN
