INTRODUCTION

K to 12 Program covers Kindergarten and 12 years of basic education (6


years of primary education, 4 years of junior highschool and 2 years of
senior highschool) to provide suffecient time for mastery of concepts and
skills, develop lifelong learners and prepare graduates for college life. This
program was implemented as mandatory to all highschool in the
Philippines on May 15 2013 under the administration of former President
Benigno Aquino jr.It help students to master their skills and absurd basic
competencies. Students of the new system will graduate at the age of 18
and will be ready for entrepreneurship,middle level skills
development,higher education upon graduation and employment that the
students will be exposed to and became familiar with work-related
environment which elaborate in work immersion subject in senior
highschool curriculum (Dizon et al. 2019).

Work Immersion is one of the most required subjects for all Grade 12
students, which involves hands-on experience or work simulation in which
learners can apply their competences and acquired knowledge relevant to
their tract.According to Putri(2021) since 2017,the Work Immersion
Program for senior highschool students has been implemented by the
Filipino Government's Department of Education (DepEd) and supported by
the Asia Foundation's Coalitions and Change (CFC),this aims to better
equip senior highschool learners for college, work or business, develop life
and career skills, and have attitudes, appreciate and respect for work. Allow
students to have a smooth transition from school to work after they gain
valuable experience.

The work immersion is supervised by the school head and designated


personnel of the partner companies. The 80 hours(10 days)work
immersion shall be scheduled for no more than eight cumulative or
consecutive hours per day.

Hence, students can relate school studies with a workplace , give students
an insight into the diversity of employees in the workplace, and prepare
learners for the demands and expectation of the working world . This
program guarantee that the students that students would perform at their
best when the time they were became an employee and trust their own
ability to perform the particular activities. Additionally, this will make sure
the students abilities and skills are suitable for different works they may
apply to
II:THE WORK PLACE

COMPANY PROFILE

The TUBIGON PHILIPPINE NATIONAL POLICE , Our job as a law enforcement are to
prevent crimes(through operations), pre-empt crimes (using intelligence),Solve crimes
(conducted trough investigation)and organize and mobilize community.Aim to enforce
the law, to prevent and control crimes, to maintain peace and order, and to ensure public
safety and internal security with the active support of the community.The Tubigon
Municipal Police Station Building, Bohol was constructed to enhance the law
enforcement capabilities and police service in adherence to the PNP Integrated
Transformation Program The project (Phase I Php 3,491,617.33) was funded by the
PNP and (Phase 2- Php 1,000,000.00) was funded by the LGU of Tubigon, Bohol. The
total project cost is amounting to Four Million and Four Hundred Ninety One Thousand
Six Hundred Seventeen Pesos & 33/100 Centavos (Php 4,491,617.33). The project
started on January 18, 2014 and completed on October 8, 2015.Inaguarated during the
administration of PDG RICARDO C MARQUEZ( Chief, Philippine National Police),PCSUPT
PRUDENCIO TOM T BAÑAS(Regional Director, PRO7),HON MARLON R AMILA(Municipal
Mayor),PSSUPT DENNIS P AGUSTIN(Provincial Director, Bohol PPS),PINSP FERNANDO
D PERORAMAS Chief of Police and Plans, Design and Supervision by PCINSP ROWEL
DIEZ CARREON(Acting Chief, Regional Engineer- RPMU 7) all the person mention above
is the individuals that made this Tubigon PNP came true.

HISTORICAL BACKGROUND

For the past few years Tubigon PNP has solve many cases one of the
biggest cases that has been solve of the organization is Child Trafficking
(in 2021) and Human Trafficking (in 2019) in resort at Baca-Baca, Tubigon,
Bohol the suspect age are around 40 above and the co-suspects aged 16
years old an CIT this achievent of the organization are became popular not
only in Bohol but in other place also. It found out that some suspect
commit crime cause of under the influence of alcohol or drugs.

OBJECTIVES OF WORK IMMERSION

One of the Goals of the k-12 basic Education Program is to develop in leamers the
competencies, work ethic, and values relevant to pursuing further education or joining the world
of work. In order to achieve a greater congruence between basic education and the country's
development targets. Work immersion, a required subject, has been incorporated into the
curriculum. This subject will provide the learners with opportunities:

1. For employment simulation:

2. To become familiar with the work place;

3. To apply their competencies in areas of specialization and applied subjects in authentic


work environments.

4. Enhance the skills and aptitude of the work immersionist to be competitive and possess
a capability of being a student.

5. Assist the student to look for a suitable career path; and

6. Strengthen the parent-teacher relationship and the school-parent relationship that leads
into the betterment of their students.

The main goal of education is the development of student's capability to manage information in
order to solve problem or make everyday decision, choosing the right career for college, there
are recent educational reform initiatives, especially within learning which advocated the inquiry-
based learning(IBL) in school (Brand & Moose,2011). It is pedagogical approach that provides
students with authentic problems and materials that allow them to build conclusion.

With the passage of the Enhanced Basic Education Act of 2013 of Republic Act 10533, the
DepEd was tasked to implement the K to 12 Program. By adding two years of specialization
within the Basic Educational System, DepEd designed the implementation of RA 10533 within
the framework of Increased community involvement in the learner's experience. Through
community involvement, the DepEd offers venues for various stakeholders to participate in the
implementation of RA 10533. The Work Immersion Program is a part of Senior High School
curriculum consisting of 80 hours of hands-on experience or work simulation which the Grades
11 and 12 students will undergo. This document describes the Work Immersion Program and
how students, schools and stakeholders may benefit from their participation.

The Work Immersion Program is one the course requirements for graduation. A SHS student
has to undergo work immersion in a business organization or establishment with work
requirements related to the specialization. Through work immersion, the students are exposed
to and are familiarized with the work related environment related to their field of specialization.
Specifically, the students are able to:

1. Gain relevant and practical industrial skills under the guidance of industry experts and
workers;

2. Appreciate the importance and application of the principles and theories taught in the
classroom:

3. Enhance their technical knowledge and skills;

4. Prepare them to meet the needs and challenges of employment, entrepreneurship, or


higher education after their graduation.

The Work Immersion Partnership has the following objectives:

 To supplement the formal curriculum of the SHS program with special inputs coming
from the stakeholder experts and practitioners in order to make the SHS program
aligned and consistent with work standards,

 To develop in the students of the SHS program the knowledge and skills that are
relevant to the needs of the job market in the area, To provide SHS students relevant
learning experiences by giving them exposure to the actual workplace setting.

 To form a partnership between Tagum National Trade School and stakeholders, the
students, faculty, and staff of the schools concerned will be allowed the use of and
access to the stakeholder's workplace and equipment as part of their Work Immersion
Program.

Our partnership allows us to use your facility, services, and professional expertise in providing
this workexperience. Here is how we both benefit from our partnership:

To sum it up, Tubigon PNP is formulated of M+K+K=K which means


Malasakit , Kaayusan at Kapayapaan tungo sa Kaunlaran. The M stand for "
MALASAKIT PROGRAM " aspires to address the external and internal
issues of the organization. The first challenge is for every police officer that
we are sworm to serve and protect the community . Thus, the PNP must
nurture harmonious with all sectors, to be able to address the peace and
security at each community. Dapat maniwala ang taumbayan na ang
kanilang pulis ay handang rumisponde sa anumang oras ng
pangangailangan.

The K which stands for "KAPAYAPAAN PROGRAM" aspires for lasting


peace In partnership with the Armed Forces of the Philippines (AFP) and
various clusters of Executive Order No. 70 The Kapayapaan NIFELCAC-or
the National Task Force to End Local Communist Armed Conflict, the PNP
shall continue this endeavor with more vigor and and shall ensure that all
Barangay Development Programs shall reach its completion, by providing
security to its implementers.

Then the another K stand for " KAAYUSAN PROGRAM" aspires to strictly
implemented he rule of law "That every citizen may abide by ordinances as
strictly probihited na walang inuman sa kanto. walang nambabastos sa
mga kababaihan, walang mandurukot, at walang maingay sa mga
kabahayan paglipas ng also diyes ng gabi. Meanwhile, the "Kaunlaran
Program is the ultimate of my peace and security framework. As it
presumedif our government is perceived to be safe and peaceful then
tourists and investors shall come to our beautiful country, thereby
increasing job opportunities for every Filipino.

This program is the ultimate goal of peace and security framework. As it

Daily Accomplishment Report

Day 1:April 17,2023

What an exciting day it is. A day where I am going to work with those professionals working on
our government in the Philippines National Police of Tubigon, Bohol. My first day start with
attending flag ceremony after that we wait for our teacher to guide us in work immersion venue
and going to meet with our work supervisor namely Ms. Bonnie Mae B. Mara.Then she called us
(students trainees) to introduce herself and we introduce ourselves also.After that we are
oriented on what to do and don't on work immersion training facility. Ma'am Mara orient us that
we (trainees) can have a alternate when guiding and assisting the the individuals come to the
police station to get a police clearance or those person that have a complain.I am so delighted
the whole day knowing that this is a new unlock experience at the same time excited for the
things that I would acknowledge on how things work under the TUBIGON PNP. I'm sure that
working in this venue is amazing, I won't ever regret choosing this training facility.

Life is full of learning.As a person you need to acknowledge those learning , you need to
unlocked those things that you didn't know yet. We need to experience new things to develop
ourselves. We need to get out on our comfort zone to determine what we are capable of. Just
like in the quotes learning you things is up on a person eventhough she/he is old , young, men or
women no matter what is your life status , if you want to be a beginner there will be an
opportunity that knocks on your door , you just need to grab it. And that's what happen to me I
want to learn how PNP works so I grab the chance to work under the supervise of Ma'am Mara .
Thanks to Mrs. Saniel to make my goal unlock .And this is the beginning of my journey .
Day 2:April 18 2023

Another day working at Tubigon PNP . This day start with formation and salute , then going to
Maam Mara for the Daily Time Record(DTR) then going to the designated position to start the
work. Suddenly, Ma'am Sayam ask us, the girls trainees if we can accompany her to buy some
groceries and items that would be needed in making PNP Search and Rescue Box so we agree.
It's quite awkward but Ma'am Sayam make us feel comfortable in her presence. She's nice and
kind police officer. She's having a conversation with us and even buy us a snacks. Thank you
Ma'am Sayam. The feeling is overwhelming knowing that eventhough they are professional
police officer they are not arrogant . In fact they talk to us sometimes if they re not busy, they
give us some information that new to us and indeed helpful. They give us advises. At the
afternoon, after lunch we trainees along with Maam Sayam make a PNP Search and Rescue Box
its finish earlier than expected since we help each other. The result of the box that we need is
good.

Despite of the evilness that the world possess . I really salute to those persons that being loyal
to their job and goods to others especially those professionals that they still look back where
they came from. Those professionals that choose to be generous, helpful and etc rather than
being arrogant and abuse their position as a part of government officials.Thank you for helping
people regardless of the position in life,you all help as much s you can.You all deserve the
respect in this world. Thank you so much PNP for protecting our community, country against
those individuals that intended to harm innocent people and spread crimes.
Day 3:April 19 2023

A day where the unexpected moments come. My day at my work immersion venue goes by
formal formation and salute, going to Maam Mara office for time in and assisting clients. Ma'am
Sayam for the second time ask us (girls trainees)to go out to buy some groceries for upcoming
community outreach program and we agreed . During our groceries, we buy some slippers for
kids , paper bag and sachets of powder juice.Again, before we go back to the police station she
bought a sanacks for us. Thank you ma'am for taking care of us and treating us.When we arrive
at police station, we girls trainees go to our designated position to assist and guide some
clients that looking for some officers and the others are getting police clearance. This is our
routine until afternoon. Suddenly before our time out, there was a client. She's have a swallow
eyes , barefoot and trembling in fear.According to her , she was chase by her ex-boyfriend with a
knife due to jealousy.Were having a hard time to get some information to her honestly since she
was crying and shivering. I decide to make our conversation light and funny in order for her to
fell better and can talk properly and guess what? It's work. She's giving some information
regarding that incident.I pity her a lot she doesn't deserve to be treated in that ,all girls should be
taken care of a man. Im so proud of myself, I can say that my communication skills improve .

Each individual have a different purpose in this world . Helping others is the most common but
only few people that have a sincerity and pure intension done this who doesn't have a intention
for political profile.Through helping others even though at small cost the person will receive it
will appreciate it. You can help individuals by listening to their resentment , through giving some
advise and comforting them. There's a different way in helping others on their problem in life .
For them to keep living in this wonderful world rather than leaving.
Suggestions and Recommendations

I suggest to build a small waiting shed which comfortable since the facility
is small it cannot accommodate all the trainess . I hope that they can build
a small waiting shed to occupy by the work immersion trainess from
different school with a one electric fan due to extreme heat .

Also, my Recommendations is all the trainess should have a schedule of


assisting and guiding the clients so that all trainess have a good experience
at Tubigon PNP rather than sitting aside.
Problems Encountered

The problems that I encountered during work immersion is the one client
that run into the police with barefoot, messy hair, swallow eyes and
shivering in fear. According to her she was chase by her ex-boyfriend with a
knife due to jealousy. We're having a hard time to get information since
she's crying and scared . She seems absent-minded. Good thing that I
change the tactics while getting the information. I start the conversation
with a funny and light jokes to get her attention and start making her better
while getting some information. Then it's works.
