1) Curriculum and syllabus are both important terms in education. The curriculum is the
whole content of an educational program, such as activities, topics, subjects, and
assessments. The curriculum is devised by the government or institution, and the duration
of the curriculum is until the completion of the program. The syllabus has a fixed time
frame and could be one year long; it is devised by teachers, professors, or the exam board.
The curriculum specifies when and how to deliver skills and learning experiences, whereas
the syllabus refers to what is to be taught to the students. The curriculum is identified as the
central guide in an educational program. In a curriculum, it is important to include the
activities, assessments, aims, and methods for a successful learning outcome. Even though
syllabuses can be adjusted easily, the curriculum cannot be easily adjusted. According to
Hutchinson and Waters (1987), a syllabus is " a statement of what is to be learned." The
scope of the syllabus is narrow and structured for each subject in the course. the curriculum
and syllabus share similarities, such as focusing on what is taught and providing specific
guidelines for the teachers and the students. Both syllabus and curriculum are important
and necessary in any educational program.

2) A task is an action, usually, for learners, that must be performed. A task-based syllabus is primarily
organized by instructional tasks that connect what teachers expect learners to know and be able to do
with specific lessons on content in a target language. In task-based learning, students do activities for
non-instructional purposes outside the classroom. Task-based syllabuses use more interaction, both
student-to-student and student-to-teacher. Students learn actively in this program. These tasks are a way
of bringing the actual world into the learning environment. The tasks should be distinct from other
activities. A task-based syllabus can be widely applicable, and it is suitable for students from different
age groups. A task-based syllabus can be widely applicable, and it is suitable for students from different
age groups. This can improve students' interest in a target language and enhance life skills along with
the language. In a task-based syllabus, students are motivated towards specific activities to develop
their competency in a language and improve their ability to perform instructional tasks. Task-based
learning is not limited to textbooks, so it can be very effective when learners actively engage in the
activities. In the beginning, teachers should include activities that students can use to apply the
knowledge they already possess.

3) Global education is overall learning focusing on cultural diversity, history, people, and geography.
Providing young people with the opportunity to take part in creating a more equitable future for the
globe is the core of global education. This helps students learn about different cultures. Global
education helps students get an understanding of how the world works and teaches them to respect
diversity. Through global education, create global citizens willing to make the world a sustainable place
and take responsibility for their actions. Globally aware, students are conscious of the
interconnectedness of societies and how decisions made in one area affect those living in another part of
the world. Sri Lanka is considered a developing country, but there are a significant number of Sri
Lankans living abroad for economic reasons. Most Sri Lankans migrate as students to countries like
Canada, France, India, Japan, and Australia. The main reason behind these migrations is that the
younger generation considers international schooling a good opportunity as well as a better choice in
their educational career. Sri Lanka is considered a developing country, but there are a significant
number of Sri Lankans living abroad for economic reasons. Most Sri Lankans migrate as students to
countries like Canada, France, India, Japan, and Australia. The main reason behind these migrations is
that the younger generation considers international schooling a good opportunity as well as a better
choice in their educational career. Sri Lanka is a small country, both geographically and economically.
Sri Lanka can adapt and adopt from other countries by borrowing its educational system or increasing
the need to use technology in education. For example, democracy was an idea Sri Lanka adopted for

their nation. If a country only sticks to its traditions and culture, it cannot perform well on the world
stage. Therefore, it is recommended that a country be flexible and open to accepting ideas from other
countries. When Sri Lanka is open to global education, foreign students can study Sri Lankan culture
and geography and start to immigrate to Sri Lanka, which helps the growth of the economy and means
that the country can become more developed and get a better reputation on the world stage. The
younger generation can explore more career paths and cultures to develop personal skills and be more
flexible. Sri Lanka is still a developing country due to corrupt rulers. Exposure to global education
would open their eyes to the world they live in and help them become more responsible about electing
rulers.
