Choose the right pump: Select a pump that is suitable for the size of your pool
and the specific requirements of your filtration system.
2. Turn off power: Before starting the installation, turn off the power to the pump
at the circuit breaker.
3. Remove old pump: Remove the old pump and disconnect it from the electrical
supply and the pool's plumbing.
4. Prepare new pump: Check the new pump to ensure it is in good condition.
Attach the appropriate fittings, connectors, and valves as needed.
5. Connect the plumbing: Connect the new pump to the pool's plumbing system
using schedule 40 PVC pipes and fittings. Make sure all connections are tight
and secure.
6. Connect the electrical: Connect the pump to the electrical supply. Follow the
manufacturer's instructions carefully to ensure proper wiring.
7. Prime the pump: Fill the pump with water and prime it by opening the air
release valve on top of the pump. This will help remove any air from the
system.
8. Test the system: Turn on the power and test the pump for proper operation.
Check for leaks and ensure the pump is circulating water correctly.
