Q. If you will be given the chance to solve any existing problem in the world, what will it
be and why? Outline the steps you will take to be able to solve it.

ANSWER:

I think I will choose to solve or stop the teenage pregnancy. The Philippines is one of the
most overpopulated countries. Many children are on the streets at a young age, begging
for money to buy food when they should be studying in school. The number of women
who are getting pregnant early is increasing because, nowadays, young people are very
impulsive in making decisions. Poverty leads to teenage pregnancy, and teenage
pregnancy leads to poverty.

To begin with, educate them about sexuality. Adolescents should have sex education.
Support youth development initiatives among teenagers to encourage them to openly
discuss their sexuality-related emotions and experiences. Spread awareness on how to
use condoms and contraceptive pills and on how to choose the right condom for them.

Second, counsel male teenagers. Inform male teenagers about sexual health, risky
behaviors, and sexually transmitted infections. Encourage teenage boys to use
condoms to avoid women in getting pregnant and contracting diseases. Educate them
about other methods of contraception and postcoital contraception.

Third, inform them to stay away from drugs and alcohol. Nowadays, it might be
challenging to prevent young people from becoming alcoholics due to peer pressure or
the effect of social media, where they are always following the latest trends. There are
lots of reasons why you would want to avoid drugs and alcohol, but one of the major
reason is that both can lead you to make really bad decisions. When you're drunk or
high, your brain doesn't work as well as normal (that's why it feels so good). This means
that while you might normally make the smart choice and use a condom, your drunk
brain doesn't even consider it. You need to be extra careful, especially in this day and
age when everyone can't be trusted, especially when they've been drinking. You have
no control over what other people do to your body when you've consumed so much
alcohol or drugs that you're passed out or unable to move. If you can't avoid drinking
alcohol, then just drink properly and moderately.

Lastly, talk to someone and ask for advice if you don't know anything about sex. I think
that if there were a closer bond in family communication, the rate of teenage pregnancy
would also be reduced. If teenagers knew that they could go to their parents and talk
about sex without getting judged, they would probably be more aware of their options. If
parents would communicate with their children about such topics as sex and birth
control, it would really help lessen the rate of teen pregnancy. A good relationship with
family and guidance will help to lessen teenage pregnancy. Try to distract them by
spending time with them and doing some activities with them outside.
Additionally, for teenagers who are not yet ready to build a family and just wants to have
fun, please always think twice before you make a decision or just at least use condoms
and pills. It hurts to know from the news that there are children who are being
abandoned because of the impulsiveness of their parents. It's hard to know that other
kids are already aware of the reality of the world because they have to survive in a
world that they didn't ask for to be brought out in the first place. Just imagine the
suffering of your child after he/she is born and you are not yet financially or mentally
ready to be a parent. And also give other people a chance to work even if they didn't
finish school, particularly if the work is not too difficult. Don't make their lives more
difficult just because you are "educated". Being kind to people is not that hard. By
preventing this, it will also help reduce poverty in the Philippines.
