2.8 Product Support Maintenance Statement

SBOP Analysis, edition for Microsoft Office will be supported at least until 2027.
As before, corrections will be delivered based on the highest minor release which is available on the
market e.g. release 2.8 is GA since November 2019 and starting with November 2019 is used as basis
for all corrections also for previous releases which are still in support (e.g. 2.6, 2.7)

SAP Analysis for Microsoft Office (also known as AO)

continues to be a key add-in for multiple data sources like BW, BPC, S/4, Group Reporting. It is designed for financial
analysts who require analytical capabilities in Excel. It can also be used with SAP Analytics Cloud. However, most
enhancements for an add-in connecting to SAP Analytics Cloud will be delivered on SAC add-in for MS Office.

• From AO 2.8 SP7 , there will be 3 add-on installers. one for BI 4.2 SP4+ and one for any earlier BI 4.2
release, one for BI4.3 +. *4.3 requires at least 2.8 SP4 installer
Note: upgrading to BIP 2.4 SP4 (while keeping the previously installed BIP add-on for AO) will continue to work and is fully supported.
