2. Benson uses the following set-up to determine the specific heat capacity of a metal. The metal
block is heated by the heater for 3 minutes.

The following results are obtained:


Mass of metal block = 3 kg
Initial temperature of metal block = 12 C
Final temperature of metal block = 69 C
Initial joulemeter reading = 16 250 J
Final joulemeter reading = 94 910 J
